It just so happened, that the island Kuma had landed upon, was 8 Star Isle, a group of islands cluttered together, once one whole, now 8 separated by sea forming a beautiful reef in between the islands, Kuma had landed upon the one which another crew had settled on a few days prior, to rest and explore a while. 

The Heart Pirates had Separated that morning, each one heading off in a random direction, they’d get more seen that way according to Sachi. Kali, the Heart Pirates engineer had simply used it as an opportunity to get some alone time to work on her Devil fruit… what she didn’t expect, was to run into the giant Shichibukai in the middle of the forest…

For Kuma every forest looked the same. She had seen plenty of them, it was actually her main place to stay.

She wasn’t giant, but she was definitely taller than an average woman. Kuma didn’t react at all when she saw another woman in the forest. She was just staring at her with her blank eyes without a word. She sometimes met other people in such places, but not often. Other people had somewhere to live, unlike her.

Kali had heard of the strange gender swap having taken place sometime after the War of the Best, but she'd also heard that Bartholomew Kuma could be quite unpredictable in regards to attacking people or leaving without harm...  "... This is an odd place for a Shichibukai to show up don't you think?" Kali eventually asked, when deciding that Kuma might not have meant any harm...

Kuma looked around. That place definitely didn’t look like Fishman Island. It was just some random island somewhere on the ocean. She was lost again. She didn’t really want to land here, but her devil fruit… Being lost was one of the things Kuma was pretty good at.
