Homework rant

The concept of homework genuinely is upsetting. How is it possible for CHILDREN. Not even adults, CHILDREN, having to do WORKLOADS work.

I understand school is supposed to prepare you for adulthood, but I will never understand how we are supposed to "enjoy our teen years" when teachers give us SO MUCH WORK.

Yes I know adults work harder than what children do. Yes I know adults probably have more stress and anxiety than children do. Yes I know children don't have to pay taxes and other things. I also know that we as a youth are sold this image of not having to do work and be carefree and happy before adulthood hits.

That image isn't true. Children are given so much work in the system, giving them stress and anxiety. How are we supposed to "enjoy our youth" if we are given work to do? How are we supposed to actually have our time be spent on going places with friends and family when we are going to be trapped in our rooms, staring at the computer or writing things on our notebooks for HOURS.

My rant kinda sucks but I feel so annoyed rn so
