Daily Deeds
Balancing between passion, achievement and daily routines. Some love some hate. Me I do not enjoy it.
Millenials
eing in an environment full of millennials is super new to me, where I am used with the corporate bureaucracy (or maybe it is just my department where I am dealing with my bosses directly :p), and interestingly this past 6 months I knew these from my colleagues HAHA:
- You can actually record your own voice in Waze as your guide direction, super nice right?! I immediately customized mine using Umarâs voice that makes me sleepy LOL.
- There is a web browser (also can download the app) that if you search from Ecoasia you are helping the world to grow trees, and you can see how many trees you have planted. But I dont know in more depth how the technical is but great concept!
- Buy 1-get-1-free application to dine in the fanciest and most hip restaurants in Jakarta, is called Ala Carte. Who doesnât love freebies? Saving so much date money for me and Umar haha. Unfortunately that promo ended last of December :( and starting from this very year you have to pay if you want to make use of the promos, pity for me!
- Vendors machine are also available for vitamins gummy!! how cool is that, not just chocolate, chips, coffee or drinks. Nice.
- Spotify is everywhere here in my office! I am fortunate that my boyfriend included me to his Spotify plan, so I can listen to music without any ad, haha I am a sucker for freebies which is bad sometimes?! :p
- I love the energy when my colleagues take events seriously like Halloween, they dress up pretty seriously, they are awesome. Never had one a dress up event from my corporate career, so this is very new. Virgin here!
Looking up to the list, I can conclude myself I am not so updated with technology which makes me look old fashioned or vintage do you think? haha nenek dong -_-
Old myth : frogs will pull down other frogs trying to escape a pot of boiling water
In everyoneâs life, there will always be people who will resist, threaten and sabotage the possibility of self-improvement. There are names for this such as The Downer, Manipulator, Negative, Taker, Unsupportive One, and One Who Refuses to Forgive, or in one word to summary âToxicâ.Â
How to get rid of Toxic people in our life is that we need to love ourselves fully and completely, trusting our instincts, having confidence in ourselves and validating ourselves from the inside, so we no longer succumb to taking on other people's energy.
craving for something established?
Worked as a corporate slave for more than 3 years. Now, the challenge is real, I work in the environment of a startup, donât be surprised if you start to feel the grass must be greener on the other side. Although the job pays the bills, but be prepared to think hard about whether youâll want to extricate yourself and look for a job in a corporate setting where you might contribute more meaningfully. Iâm just saying, the environment is fantastic! So much to learn, and more to contribute to society hopefully :) #teammarketing
You may not have a lot of time, but it takes a minute to wish a good day.

Belajar Bersama Sjors
This post is dedicated to the foundation that affected me on certain level of my empathy. At first I felt a bit cynical about people and who suddenly want to do some volunteering for the sake of scholarship acceptance / requirement thatâs also okay :), but hey . Frankly speaking, I wanted to do an activity to fill my weekends in Jakarta and I found this through Indorelawan.org which offers lots of volunteering organization to be part with, within Indonesia coverage. So I joined BBS on February 2016.
I adore that this organization is established by two people (Jenny Tjoa and Georges Hilaul) with aim to help under-privileged and less fortunate kids. As quote from the website : www.supportsjors.nl âWe want to give them a little push towards a better future, because thatâs often all they need, a little nudge in the right direction! With the right guidance, safe environment, a chance to relax, good education and above all, inspiration, these kids will go further than they could ever dream of.â There is tons of organization out there I know, but Sjors has the combination of 8 tools in order to fulfill the childâs well being such as Education, Inspiration, Healthcare, Sports, Creative and Music, Celebration, Recreation and Super Mom.Â
Every Sunday below Jembatan Pluit, North Jakarta, all volunteers gather and get briefed for that particular weekâs subject by the main team of the organization. So, joining every week means different subject to teach which equals more fun! However you get the subjectâs brief a week before getting volunteered. Now BBS is growing bigger and is a prt of an umbrella organization called www.inspirationfactory.orgÂ
To end, âThe reality that all lives are interconnected and interdependent has become ever-more apparent to most people.â Check www.indorelawan.org where many organizations are open to volunteers â at any time of the year. Also, I am lucky that my sister, friends and boyfriend got to join this too teehee!

sheeple people
Iâve been wanting to write about this for a long time, since we ALL HAVE experienced to this particular ânounâ. What is sheeple? is a portmanteau of the word âsheepâ and âpeopleâ and is defined as people who are docile, compliant or easily influenced. Looking at the video above, we can conclude that society contributes to our mentality. First to consider is that weâre all sheeple in some sense of the word. We have been influenced by someone or by ideas, philosophy or religion. Â A group of people who believe theyâre in possession of the truth, and think of everyone else as sheeple, are then sheep within their own herd. Â We all have it ingrained in us to be lead or to lead, some of us are just more inclined towards one end of that spectrum. Â
A study showed (taken from University of Leeds) that it takes a minority of just five percent to influence a crowd's direction - and that the other 95 percent follow without even realizing what is going on. We want to be accepted, fit in with the group, which sometimes our actions betray our values. Now consider the case, where the majority of my aunts and uncles from dadâs side of the family tree are supporting the opposing party of what I or our  young generations believe in for Jakartaâs government election day. When we gather, my families voices really aroused regarding their point of view and the younger cousins of mine tend to âjustâ agree to what these elders believe in. I know to speak your voice is hard while the same time we have to ârespectâ our elder families. It is just sad to see someone really shifting on conflicting with their inner values, but just do not get far until there is a shift in identity, because all of us humans are unique, and that way variety would be wonderful! Thoughts to welcoming a Friday today! Good Morning!
Tengku Umar and Cut Mutia are hanging out like. #wearenotevenacehnese

OBSERVATION #1
It was one of those off days where I used it to do work. Canât complain teehee. So, this is something new to me where I will tell stories about people I see or observe. Yup eyes and ears open wide this time haha! (kepo) Â I call this post Observation #1, hopefully alot will come by regular writing *fingers crossed.
So I was sitting at Starbucks, for about 40 minutes and later came a family consist of one boy, a baby boy his mom holds, a father a couple of grandparents. They are a unit. If I could be judgemental which I am telling you anyways, they donât appear like they often come to this coffeeshop; I mean by  judging to what they are wearing, flip flops entering the mall, clothes, I donât know, visually you just can see it. Because itâs a day off for Indonesia in the midweekday it felt like a semi-Sunday, you know chill and malls are not that heavily occupied during brunch time oâclock. This father brings his family to Starbucks, and he ordered 4 drinks and four meals, like fancy ones (quiche, cheesecakes, I mean I can assume they spend about 350k rupiah or like 30 dollars for cakes and coffee, for me personally pricey). I think it is his sonâs birthday, about 4 years old very active yet behaved, running around the coffeeshop, standing on the chair, taking of his shoes and just walking around and his father wanted to take his family out and treated them. It was nice seeing them. I feel blessed in a way, I still have a family, not perfect but loving ones. It reminded me that when my mom and my brother come to Jakarta all of us would go out for lunch, dinner that kind of get together.
I am very grateful for the family I have, the job that can give me a living & life, friends and I am able to buy a green tea latte by myself teehee. Enjoy those family times while you can, because we do not know how long we hang around with our family. Thank you to a set of strangers (i.e. family) that I saw at Starbucks, when people are active with their gadgets, while the family is about bonding and really talking. Bless you and your family, may always be happy :)
This is me today hahaha just so you know :p watching some view at Ubud, not just any view, a nice serene kind. It was nice to see Kintamani Mountain from the restaurant, strategically located called something Mutiara restaurant. Yup a restaurant with my name on it. Will share the bali trip later. Budget stays with awesome experiences (mainstream ones also, who cares!)
Hello! It has been a while now since my last post, I used to write and then I realized being idle is no good. Started by making a self reminder to myself in terms of healthy intake by eating more fruits, veggies and other fiber composition meal. 2017 marks my commencing my pending goals LOL! One of those baby steps are one healthy meal per day. Did I do some cheat day or whatsoever you ask? YES!
The photos above show what I have been eating regularly. Yes I now claim I love granola! After sceptical thoughts and experience of an overpriced healthy bowl, I decided to make my own, a portion that is for me and me only. Will do some other project goals within this year, am excited!
