So, lately, we’ve been asked the following:
“How much/often do you RP?”
First, we have two types of RP: random socializing and scheduled events. Random socializing consists of anyone in our Discord going, “Hey, anyone want to RP at the enclave?” To which a handful of ‘desh stick their zombie heads out of the ground and start clawing for the person wanting to RP. This is a great opportunity to meet with new ‘desh, interact with them, talk about ‘desh stuff or other hobbies – anything can happen at the enclave. We have doctors that will do examinations and vitalus refills. We have mechanics (currently) talking about our new ship that needs to be repaired, and how to acquire parts. ‘Desh that are in the library reading or researching or watching holo-vision in the lounge – this type of RP happens almost daily!
Scheduled RP events are special RP events that are NOT on a housing plot, but out in the open world of Nexus. We have these events scheduled twice a month. We call these events “ExE-peditions” because that’s literally what they are: the enclave taking on an expedition for the sake of science. They consist of everything related to the game’s lore and include some activities such as sample gathering and small combat scenarios.
“What is the Enclave about?”
ExODUS stands for Exile Ordinance & Department for Universal Studies. As you can imagine, it’s a lot of science stuff involved. But it’s not just science, but medical research, botany, engineering – anything and everyone that is science. Especially Mordesh Science. Mordesh were once a culturally rich and advanced civilization only second to Cassus and the Dominion. The Mordesh are some of the top-notch guys when it comes to alchemy. Of course, we all know where that got them. But on the surface, ExE focuses on scientific endeavors.
But ExE is not entirely exclusive. We also take in Mordesh who are adept artisans, musicians, artists and archivists. Any Mordesh that wants to help preserve the nature of Mordesh culture is welcomed here. You can say that ExE plays home to a great deal of Mordesh who celebrate their history and culture rather than mourn it.
“Are Non-Mordesh allowed to join?”
ExE welcomes any Exile who is willing to help lend a hand. We have a few humans and aurins in the bunch, but we do try to keep it a Mordesh community.
