"The structure⊠and the people. I donât know, everything about it is fascinating. We all have different perspectives."Â
"Such an optimist. But the world isn't always so pretty."
"Sometimes a girl just needs her best friend, ice cream and season two of Sex in the City."
"Oh please, anything but that show, MJ. Â You know I can't stand it."
Of course Norman hadn't told him personally with regards to Harry being 'needed' back home. What, no courtesy call? He ought to be surprised, except he would never be. This was how things were, and how they would always run.  His eyes narrowed at his the caller display. His father's assistant... He was no puppy on a leash, his mouth down turned at the mere thought of it all. Was his father so preoccupied that not one second could be spared for his own living flesh and blood?  "I do not need to be personally escorted. I know my way back home." While hesitant, the men eventually hung up. They couldn't force him out of the campus, oh that would be the day. He would snap, and he wouldn't even have the energy to tell his father how he felt, because it wasn't as if he saw the Osborn senior on a weekly basis. Harold was torn between the intrigue of why his father called out to him, his eyes narrowing with his legs crossed. He never--- asked for him, needed him, found him to be good enough. What now? Disappoint his father? In the end, his better judgement got the better of him, and he went to visit. See what his father needed, since it was a rare occurrence. Perhaps he was walking straight into a trap to get another talking down to (fatherly pep talks were always the best, when he deserved them, truly.), or he'd be pleasantly surprised. Somehow, Harry felt to be on the end of a lose/lose situation regardless. If anything,  his father could wait  a little. He didn't say it was particularly... urgent.Â
Hearing her name, the red head lifted her gaze from the dead phone in her hand. Her green eyes settled on the man and she immediately broke into a genuine smile. âHarry. No time to text a girl back, but plenty of time to stalk her on the streets, I see.â The woman pursed her lips a bit and turned her head to look down the street for the bus hse knew wasnât coming yet. âHm?â Cocking her brows she looked back at him before gasping out a bit. âOh! What am I doing here? I had an audition this afternoon and now Iâm⊠casually relaxing on the street corner?â
"Right, because there's so much more I could imagine you doing rather than lounging around on this street. Did the audition go well? I can't imagine it not." He laughed, palming at his phone before pulling it out to look at the notifications. Oh. "I'm not the best with phones, unfortunately." More like, read and run sort of guy he was, always forgetting to reply even though his mind filed it away for 'reply later'. "Sorry about that. Any way to make it up to you?"
"Simply having a degree doesnât prepare you for every situation in your career. Iâll figure this one out though."
"You're not even allowed to talk about the cases either, or else I'd probably just quip up and ask bluntly what the problem was. Do you like it though? Law."
"Harry,"

Oh, I forgot I didnât - sorry, Iâve been kind of spacing a lot lately. That guy on the news, the one with the tattoo on his wrist? HeâŠUncle Ben was the guy that heâŠyâknow.
"- --- Christ, Peter. I didn't know."
"I'm here for you. If-- you need anything, don't hesitate."
"IâŠwhat are we talking about?"
"I texted you last night, about Peter. Did you get them? Do you know if heâs alright?"
"Ehm, whatever it was you were initially speaking about."
"No, I don't think I got any messages from you. I think I'd remember. What happened?"
Itâs a talent. Yeah - I donât even know why I did it, Harry. I just couldnât stop myself.
"You alright, man? Dire need of a doctor's check-up or is this just an emotional burden that's making you devour the world?"
Mary Jane was sitting â well actually she was pacing back and forth along the street behind the bus stop. She didnât have enough cash for a taxi, not even close, and this audition had taken her across the entire city. Â The bus had already come and gone twice, but that didnât matter she didnât have the fare. Â In short, there was no way she was walking home in these heels either. âDammit!â She yelled out in frustration and groaned as she slammed her back into the brick wall. âDammit, dammit, dammit. Now all we need is some rain.â
Leaving Oscorp after another experiment to observe by a group of dutiful scientists, he was quite ready to just have the night to himself. There was only so much business he could handle, before his eyes began to bore straight into the ground due to lack of focus. On his way after leaving, he spotted someone rather familiar across the street. Â Deciding to jaywalk rather than yell for the whole street to overhear, he approached the girl. Â "Mary Jane. What brings you to this part of the city?"
"Mediating isnât the challenge, itâs the ability to find peace and clarity in the most abrupt of situations. I wasnât expecting it to be private, considering this is a public place, and I suppose that you stumbling into my thought process wasnât a terrible thing."
"Y-eah I've never quite dabbled in that sort of feng shui, meditation sort of deal. Not my style. But do what you want. If you don't think it's a terrible thing, that is something we can both agree on. My apologies for the intrusion."
"What this hell does this mean?"
"You're the one with the degree who's supposed to be answering questions, not me."
I just - itâs weird. I ate Aunt Mayâs meatloaf last night. And three tubs of ice cream. I thought teenagers were the one that ate all the time.
"How you have fainted from an overdose of sugar intake, I do not know. Make all the girls in school jealous, Peter. They only wish they could eat an eight of what you just consumed. Wait, Aunt May's meatloaf? "
I am, I am. The Metro Weekly, let me guess you were born and bred at this side of the city?
"It sounds inflated when you put it that way, but yes. Born and bred. Do you simply work in the South or do you live here as well?"
"Your father? So that makes you Harry Osborn? Wow. I really admire your dadâs work.â
"Uh, no I donât work for him. I think I might have forgotten something of mine, on a..tour."
"Stellar, isn't it?"
"It must be long gone by now. The janitors do their jobs daily. You could try the lost & found."
"Ahh⊠A Osborn. Pleasure meeting you, Harry. The âso called slumsâ are pretty nifty if you asked me."
"Exactly which part is so 'nifty'? We must have different opinions of what is intriguing and otherwise."
