Christian had already cut himself off from the bar. While he enjoyed the buzz that he got from alcohol, he hated getting drunk and losing control. So he was perfectly content to just wander around, enjoying the atmosphere as he sipped on a Shirley Temple. He was just thinking that maybe he should go and see if he could swipe some moreĀ entrĆ©es when he made eye contact with Morgan. At first he just smiled and waved, but then he realised that maybe they were trying to tell him something with the look in their eyes so he quickly crossed the room towards them. When he got closer, he could immediately tell that Morgan was trapped in a conversation with someone they definitely werenāt interested in being around.Ā āThere you are!ā He called out as he approached, moving in and wrapping an arm around their waist,Ā āExcuse us, do you mind if I borrow my date?ā He addressed the man in front of them as he moved to guide Morgan away before even waiting for an answer.
Feeling a hand on their waist was a bit of a surprise, but they quickly realized what he was doing and leaned into it.Ā āHey, babe, glad you finally found me,ā the tone wasnāt quite right, but they were trying to follow Christianās lead. The man gave a look,Ā āI do mind, we were having a good time dancing together, buddy,ā he called back, but didnāt move to follow the two of them as they walked away.Ā āNo we really werenāt. I think you should call yourself an Uber and go home, Eric,ā they called over their shoulder before focusing back on Christian.Ā āThanks for your help there. He was being a grade A asshole.ā
