The Nameless City never officially existed. It wasn’t on any maps, and no one talked about it. Still, it was built as a closed testing ground for scientific research — communications, energy, and substances affecting the human mind and body. Everything was controlled. Until it wasn’t.
The first signs came from communications specialists. Radio frequencies picked up alien voices. Phones rang by themselves. People began hearing the dead. Calls came from those long gone, describing a place “on the other side,” where time and space no longer worked the way they should. Gradually, the city became inhumane.
At its center lay “Endofix,” a substance that promised regeneration and heightened intelligence but led instead to addiction, hallucinations, and the disintegration of personality. It was distributed by the “Sect” — once a state institution, now something closer to a cult. Those who used it began to see the Anthill.
The Anthill isn’t a place, but a system — a shifting reality where individuality dissolves and souls are reduced to functions: Wardens, Executioners, and Overseers. A few resist. The Dissenters try to restore fragments of identity to the dead. At the edges wander the Sinners — distorted remnants of those who failed to disappear completely.
In 2014, the city was abruptly shut down under the pretense that the project had ended. The residents knew better. Something had gone wrong, and it couldn't be undone. Among them were Wolf, a man with a fractured memory; Glaz, whose perception had warped; and Akira, struggling to stay sane. Together, they search for the Faceless One — the only one who might know the truth behind everything in The Nameless City.
The deeper they go, the less stable reality becomes: people vanish and reappear, and logic itself unravels. In a world where God is merely a human idea, the Faceless One may not be a person at all, but the system itself — a shared belief or a reflection of fear.
And yet, even here, amidst the decay and loss, a strange, almost unbearable beauty remains — a reminder that things could have turned out differently.
