Between school, homework, and training, Momotarou hadn’t had much time to himself. He had only finished settling in to his new apartment last week, but by now he had planned to already be familiar with the city and what it had to offer. Sure, he had seen a lot of the sights while travelling between the districts but he couldn’t help feeling a little out of place amongst the crowds. So today, his first day off in a while, was dedicated to exploring. He had chosen to start with the district in which he lived and went to school in, mostly out of ease than anything. It wouldn’t hurt to know what was really around the area, and also it was the heart of the city so it was bound to be the most exciting.
One would think that if you were going out exploring in a relatively new place, you would remember to take care of yourself before setting out. Momotarou, of course, didn’t. Forgetting his medication for the millionth time, the cheerful boy had set out on his adventure. He didn’t make it very far before he was walking along the relatively busy streets, and a cute pet shop caught his eye. More specifically, a fluffy cat sitting in one of the display cat towers caught his attention. And then there was a puppy crate full of puppies in the window, which he assumed would be for sale. Feeling a wide grin spread across his face, Momotarou decided to head into the store, successfully distracted from his mission. Stopping in a pet shop was definitely not in his plan. He didn’t have time for a pet, but at least looking wouldn’t cause any problem!
Crouching down, he laughed to himself as he played with the puppies a bit, his outstretched hand getting licked to kingdom come by the energetic fluffballs. Soon though, his attention was caught by the fish displays, and he quickly said his goodbyes to the affectionate canines and sped over to the fish tanks, watching the colourful aquarium animals swim around. The smile had not left his face since he entered the store, so internally, it felt fine that he was here instead of wandering around outside. Momotarou pried himself away from the tanks and decided to look around the store more, weaving between the aisles and looking at all the pet merchandise. It was then that he stumbled upon what he assumed was an employee. The silver haired male was struggling with a rather large bag of dog kibble, so the otter trotted over and took the bag, helping him put it on the shelf. Grinning, Momotarou turned to the employee.
“N-Nitori-senpai?!" Momotarou’s eyes blew open as his whole body showed his shock from seeing another person from Samezuka here in Brieve. He was more than a little surprised - seeing Rin had been crazy in itself, but meeting up with Nitori as well? Just like with the former red haired captain, Momotarou’s shocked faded and was replaced with pure excitement almost instantly. He happily threw his arms around Nitori, practically shaking with joy. And here he thought that he’d be all alone in this city! Momotarou pulled back from his senpai, still in his personal space, but no longer touching. "Did you move here, senpai?! I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever!”
