ㅤㅤㅤTHERE WAS TOO MUCH ADRENALINE TO REGISTER WHO SHE WAS FIGHTING WITH UNTIL NOW. It feels a little weird getting into a street fight again after finally having a few months of peace, but a bunch of weird looking things started randomly attacking people on the street. Of course she had to jump in. Miyagi-do is all about defense, right? And there's no way anyone here looks like they can protect themselves. That is, until she notices the flashes of red midway through the fight. When things calm down, she finally gets to take in the full sight of something she can't believe she's seeing. The Red Ranger. He's right there.

ㅤㅤㅤTory's starstruck at the sight, and her first thought is to snap a bunch of pictures to immediately send to Robby, because she knows he would absolutely freak out just as much as she is right now. There's a fucking Power Ranger standing five feet away from her ! But she registers his voice, his request, and her hand stops before she can pull out her phone. As much as she wants to, now isn't the time to fangirl. ( Fine. But he owes her several pics for her help when this is all over with, and she's not letting him leave before she gets them ! ) Tory looks around, taking count of all the other civilians in sight. The ones trying to take shelter on the streets will be in danger as long as they stay there. ❝ Yeah, I can totally do that, ❞ Tory shrugs, trying to keep calm, but it's pretty hard to do when you get complimented by a Power Ranger. ( Just be cool, Nichols. Don't look stupid in front of the ranger. ) ❝ I do karate. I can handle it. A weapon like that isn't really my style. ❞ Eyes look around, locking onto the the most sturdy building in sight. ❝ I bet I can get everyone to that bank over there if you cover me. ❞

"Karate, uh? That's good. I'm bettin' on you giving it your best out there." This wasn't a tournament but he is sure she knew that already. Carter looks through to the building she points towards and he assest her choice before nodding. "I will buy you all the time you need. These creatures mostly want me." And the team. The risks of being Power Rangers came with the job, you were there to draw the fire out of the people and directly to yourself. It wasn't that different from being a firefighter really. With a touch to his morpher, the Red Ranger nods one more time and in a shift of red energy, he is back in uniform, helmet hiding his features.

"See you on the other side, kid. Come back in one piece." Because he hates putting people in danger, but sometimes the best thing one could do was let them take charge of some of the tasks while he deals with the big monsters. He holster out his blaster and nods back at the young girl. "What's your name, kid? So I know who I'm fighting alongside of." And he offers his hand for a firm shake before directing his attention into the battle ahead. "Everyone gather around, you are about to cross to the bank, all together! I' need you to follow her and stick to one another."

there was a time when PR stopped hiring people with martial arts/gymnastics background and it shows. and i'm glad they are doing that back.

@queencvbra / tory gets a funny little surprise as I promised ft. carter.

"You hold yourself down nicely up there. almost didn't need me." Shutting down his morph, the vision of red turns back into the civilian firefighter, a welcoming smile on his lips as he looks over at the girl who had been taking down a few of the lackies left and right. "My team is still on the way and I could use some help putting all these people to safety, can you do that?"

There is no time for chit chat though and he is making sure that there isn't really time to question the authority under his voice as he speaks. She can handle herself enough that she can help out with one of the tasks he feels comfortable handing over to a teenager ( how did some of the older teams managed to save the world and do their SATs is beyond him ). "And no, i'm not handing you my blaster."
