Being a deviant isn’t always a conscious decision.  Why? Because just like any other human, they seek for belonging and acceptance. But the world, being unfair at times, turns a blind eye to them. The people, turns a deaf ear. They were shut out. And only having themselves for survival, they find and try to have their own means.

Believe me when I say that life is a big playground where everybody is a player of different characters. At some point, along the game, someone gets confused. Someone gets lost. Yet again, believe me when I say that that’s normal ‘cause everybody gets to that stage. Being out in the open and getting exposed to all the tangling roles each character could choose to play is just a part of the game.

 Get your heads up. 

Choose your character. 

Play your role. 

It ain’t over yet.

         One quality the waters of the sea and I share is that we apt to mimic

     and try to be like whatever that’s above us or what seems to be beautiful

She is a shapeshifter; sometimes a cook, sometimes a teacher, you could never tell.

If she isn’t a (super)hero,

Who are we today if it weren’t for them?

 If they didn’t exist?

If they ceased to live?

If they stopped believing that they can?

Or if they got tired wandering through what is then still unknown?

 We call them some creatures that have lived before. Just some creatures. But have you ever consider the idea that maybe if they weren’t able to live through those years and make it, we wouldn’t be here today? That they are more than the creatures we label them to be? That we owe them the life we have today? Think, and then thank them. Because they are our heroes- the brave men of our kind.

Though hardly valued and perceived as one, Culture is the best gift we could ever receive from our ancestors. More than its power to answer one’s who, what, where, when and whys, culture means more.

For it embraces our legacy,

A living proof of our sole identity 

and very existence.

It is true that each generation differs from one another.  

New formed practices,

Reformed beliefs,

Modified norms,

And even the language that we use daily changes.

 But despite the growing gap, with Culture serving as the bond that draws out connection through the process of cultural transmission, it is without a doubt, that we share a piece of ourselves with one another.And it doesn’t just stop there because there will come a time that we will be the one who’ll look through our child’s eyes and see a reflection of ourselves.
