The biphobia I get in the LGBT community is from pansexuals who change the definition of bisexual. Bisexual means you're attracted to both sexes. But pansexuals say "bi means 2 you're attracted to 2 genders" or "bisexuals don't include nb ppl" or "bisexuals are only attracted to cis and trans binary genders" or whatever. I guess that's usually transphobic too bc you don't need to make a new sexual orientation to say you're attracted to trans ppl, that's wrong.
That’s relatable i hear you
you are a He/him
Im a cis woman I use she/her
"Straight couples shouldn't be at pride"Well uh…1.) one or both of people you see as a “straight couple” could be pan/bi/poly/ace - oh, so what about aros? are we straight? or just not welcomed at pride/lgbt places even when straights are?
Hi! I support aros and you belong at pride if you want to be there. That post was made when I was 15 and it’s still haunting me lmao
also happy pride remember that:
cishet was coined to mean cisgender heteroromantic heterosexual
aces can’t be cishet, as they are asexual
aros can’t be cishet, because they are aromantic
aces and aros deserve to be loved, accepted, and understood
aces and aros don’t deserve the nasty things aphobes say they deserve
troll blogs love demonising ace and aro people by pretending to be one and y’all fall for it every god damn time
aces and aros aren’t confused, incomplete, or broken
aces and aros aren’t cringy
feel free to add onto this if you want
• Aces/aros belong at pride.
• That’s what the A stands for in LGBTQA
•So remember that please
seriously though bisexuality being defined as attraction to men and women is a heterosexual’s definition of bisexuality actual bisexual groups and organizations have been defining it as attraction to two or more genders or same and other genders since the nineties and plenty of nb people actually id as bi and refusing to accept how we define ourselves is so absurdly biphobic and heterosexist and jfc it’s 2014 can other queer people fucking realize and acknowledge this
The purple stripe on the bi flag is meant to represent attraction to nb genders and the bisexual manifesto published in Anything That Moves includes the lines “Do not assume that bisexuality is binary or duogamous in nature … In fact, don’t assume that there are only two genders.” That was published in 1990. It’s older than a lot of people here, including me, and older than terms like “pansexual” and “polysexual” by at least a decade. Bi history is important.
My aesthetic is bisexual acceptance regardless of the gender of the bisexual person or their significant other.
I’m not the same kid you remember. The kid whose father you and your partner killed, all those years ago.
Me, year 2074: haha wow so you were born in 2006? you must be like 5 years old lol
No one got hurt in this attack. Because the attacker did not use a weapon that can mow down people in seconds… it also didn’t happen in the US.
story time.
the look in your eyes is what gets me.
“so i return to my body.. from the other plane of existence.. in which i scream”
DEAD
“Story time.
I have this one white friend.
And - [mocking] I have this one white friend, I’m not racist. And like - where was I even going with this? [laughs] She’s not even my friend, she’s just someone I know. Okay, whatever, ‘kay, so this one white person that I know - [under breath] (I know a lot, my entire town is white.) Anyway, um, one day, she comes up to me, and she’s like,
“Jenny, what are you?” and, you know, that’s like white person talk for like, [sarcastic mocking] “what FUCKING country do you come from? Like obviously you’re not from here.” And I’m like, “um, I’m Chinese.”
And she’s like “What? You’re Chinese?”
And I’m like, “Yeah, I don’t know why that’s so much of a surprise.”
And she’s like “Well, I thought you said you were Asian.”
And - [deep breath] [pause] there was a moment, a good minute and a half, where I left my body and ascended onto another plane, and I screamed into the abyss of that plane [pause] because she did not know that Asian and Chinese are… I, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t even… you know, whatever.
So, return to my body, from the [pause] other plane of existence in which I scream. A lot. And I tell her: “You know, China, China, you see, the country that I’m from, is a part of Asia.”
And she’s like, “Where’s Asia?”
[whispers] She asked me. Where Asia is.
And I say, “Well, Asia consists of, you know..” and I list the different Asian countries and she’s like “Whaat?”
And I’m like [sarcastically] it’s, it’s this thing, you know, that you learn about in like third grade geography. It’s a continent! And she’s like “A continent?”
And I’m like “Yes.”
And she goes, “so it’s not a country?”
I’m like, “No.”
And she’s like “What’s the difference?”
And I’m like [deep breath] “America, you see, has like North, Central, South, so like, take somewhere from Canada; they are North American but they’re also Canadian…”
And she’s like “I don’t understand.”
And I’m like “It’s okay, just know that I am both Asian AND Chinese” and you know what, she is still confused to this day, and I [pause] am still on the other plane of existence, screaming, as I tell this story to you. So you can come join me, on the separate plane of existence.”
I WILL ALWAYS REBLOG THIS SHIT BECAUSE IT IS TOO REAL, TOO TRUE.
I’m actually crying
biphobic assholes: you know what
bisexuals: hoe don't do it
biphobic assholes: Bisexuals in a hetero relationship have no right to invade LGBTQ spaces.
bisexuals: oh my god
“i’m in kind of a weird mental place right now” i say, as if there are times when i am not in a weird mental place
