We can do better than this. And I think the shift to mobile will force us to do better.

First they came for our Verizon metadata, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't on Verizon so, like, whatevs. Then they came for our Facebook statuses, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't really that big on Facebook. It's totally over. Then they came for the Tweets, and I didn't speak out because all my Tweets are dumb. Lolz Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.

The WentNative conference team was emailed this earlier in the day, correctly and humorously. We’ve been aggressively inviting non-white and/or non-dudes to speak and have struck out across the board. Please show us up, suggest people, anything you can — however, we have been trying.

The planter saga continues...as you may know they are bolted down and made of fiberglass and were promised to be more or less indestructible but some of the nice neighborhood folks coming from the park seemed to make a project of it and apparently decided to go after them with a hammer. They are more or less in tact but the sides are all caved in and dirt is coming out so will need to be replaced. I had purchased an extra one to hold in reserve but both are damaged so I will go to Flora Grubb to get another. I think my mistake was putting some flowers which may attract the attention of the anti-gentrifiers..
