I’m sure you’re aware that increasing number of people looking for Twitter alternative. When they look for alternative, they are looking for certain features such as below:
Global & regional real-time trends
People discovery from contacts
Option to make public/private account etc.
Easy direct messaging
Ability to distinguish between real account vs parody (paid verification won’t help)
Tumblr should work with regional influencers to make onboarding process smooth because ultimately people wants connect with their favourite content creators.
