✨What's something in your life you need to focus more energy on?✨ This quote can be taken in different ways - you give life to whatever you focus your physical actions on. The more you work on something and allocate it time in your day-to-day actions, the more it will develop and improve. But I like to see it as something a little more deeper than that. We are all vibrational beings, and our thoughts create our realities. If we are always giving out negative vibrations and thoughts, that is what eventually manifests in our lives in some form or another. If we change these though patterns and turn ourselves into a source of overflowing unconditional love and positive energy, then that in turn manifests in our reality. I'm not saying to ignore the bad things and kid yourself that good things are happening. It's more the attitude you adopt - accept that there are undesirable things in your life at the moment, but create the intention to change these circumstances around, and if you can't - redirect your thoughts onto what is abundant in your life already that you are thankful for. Trigger warning: Depression, anxiety, sexual assault 🌸 In contrast to my last post, I want to remind all of you beautiful souls that there is light and shade to everything in life. I know I focused on the positive changes that were occurring for me right now, but it goes without saying that all of these things are happening after a period of ups-and-downs, of darkness and uncertainty. Most of you who have been following me for a while now and probably saw my video on my anxiety, depression, sexual assault amongst other things - I am still dealing with the aftermath, but everyday it gets a little easier. For me, what helped was focusing on the vibrations I put out to the universe, and changing my outlook on things I used to perceive as “bad” as things that the universe is sending me to help me get closer to realising who I really am. Obviously different people have different ways of dealing with what is happening their life, but this is just what worked for me. The more I saw these challenges as something to embrace rather than lament, the more positive changes entered my life. It's still a work in progress and my attitude isn't always one of acceptance and appreciation, but it's improving ✨ I just want you to know that if you are going through a rough time at the moment, you’re not alone. And I promise it won’t last forever. Nothing does - that is the tragedy and beauty of life. Another op-shop outfit! Witchery dress and cardigan ✨ I remember there were some pieces by Zara in the shop too, but none of them were in my size unfortunately! More to the point - buying clothes from op-shops doesn't mean you're stuck with faded, unstylish pieces. There are treasures to be found, and they're at the fraction of the price you'd have to pay in store. Buying at op-shops also means you're stopping more clothes going to landfill and polluting the earth, and you're making a stand against sweatshops and unfair labour that a lot of clothing brands still implement today. If buying second hand really isn't your thing, then make sure to only buy from local designers who produce their clothing ethically.
