The tavern seemed to have been out of use for a very long time. I'm not even sure where they kept the barrels.

I managed to climb up the second floor, despite the outdoor steps rotting away, and I found signs of an old storage space. Maybe I can find a way to spruce it up a bit.

Gareth said he only drinks water though, hard man to please.

The stables however... had seen better days. The horses were fine, but I think the villagers took a few for their travels. Gareth told me a storm had caused that hole in the roof, and also told me the portal appeared at the same time.

Would've been nice to know the first time I asked.

That morning I went to check out the farm to see what needed to be done for Gareth and the other villagers. Turns out, not much! Crops were flourishing, chickens were happy and healthy, and even the water tap was running just fine. Though, whoever lives next to that silo needs to leave their boots outside.

Just when it was starting to look like I was alone in this ruined village, I came across a fisherman!

His name is Gareth, but he doesn't seem to pleased about me moving in. I tried to ask him about the other villagers, if there were any, and he told me they were off on a trading voyage. They'd be home soon, he said, and that if I helped out around the farm then I could stay as well.

When I asked for information on the portal near the mine, however, he told me he didn't know, that it just appeared there a few months ago.

As much of a hermit Gareth appears to be, I'm still glad there's someone else living here.

nearby to that mine was this. I don't know what it is or where it leads. I don't want to find out.

That night I did a bit more exploring, and I found this mine. From the still-burning torches it seems the previous occupants left in a hurry, what drove them away?

I didn't go into the tunnel, I'm definitely not prepared for that just yet, but I wonder what else I can find out from these ruins.

Nearby to my house was a half-wrecked building with crooked floorboards and a leak in the ceiling. When I went inside I found the place full of chests and old junk. Nothing inside the chests, of course, but I suppose now there's space for me. I even found a little friend! It doesn't speak, and barely moves on account of the rust, but I'm sure I can fix him up in no time.

I got dumped yesterday, it was my first real relationship after a slew of situationships and being unlabelled, so I'm feeling a little crushed. This game always makes me feel better, so I've decided to make something just for me.

It's creative, completely vanilla safe for Complementary Unbound shaders and a Dynamic Sounds resource pack. I plan to make this my forever world, creating lore and building in every biome this game has to offer.

I've started with my house, a small, rundown shack placed between a bunch of ruins. I don't know how all this got here, or who lived here before me, but for now I'll make it my home.
