I lied, I don't like sex. Now put you're clothes back on (or don't I don't care) I'm going to explain how the a.i in the fnaf games works.

Ok so basically most animatronics in fnaf games work like this:

Every few seconds (usually around 3-5 seconds depending on the character and the game and sometimes even what night it is) an animatronic will have what is known as a "movement opportunity" and when they have a movement opportunity a random number between 1 and 20 is generated. This number is compared to the animatronic's ai value( a number from 0 to 20) and if this number is less than or equal to the ai value then the animatronic will move.

So, for example, if, say, mangle had an ai level of 3, and he got a movement opportunity and the number that was generated was 7, she wouldn't move because 7 is not less than or equal to 3. But if he rolled a 2, she would move because 2 is less than 3. And that means that if mangle was set to 20 ai, he would move on EVERY movement opportunity... except, no she wouldn't, because in fnaf 2, mangle has an "ai cap" which means that his ai can't go past a certain number that being 15. In fact, EVERY animatronic in fnaf 2 has an ai cap, most of which are at 15, except withered foxy who is capped at 17, and golden Freddy who is capped at 10. So when you're playing 10/20 mode, you're actually playing 8/15 1/17 1/10 mode.

I could explain other characters like foxy, nightmare freddy, nightmare foxy, and other characters that are basically just glorified progress bars but this post is way too long and also I don't actually know how they all work so I'm just gonna end here
