Someone's smoke detector's battery is dead in the complex.

It came through my dream.

I'd be mid sentence with this man in my dream that noticed how I paused.

I'd turn my head slowly cause I'd hear the faint beep.

This went on through the dream.

And he would look at me as if trying to study why I was pausing.

He was not really someone who tolerated that kind of pause and I had been reinitiating conversations to prove I could hold those conversations.

I'd do fine and then?

*beep beep beep*

Then I woke up and heard it again.

Always make sure to keep up to date with your smoke detectors. Usually you can tell even in complexes by the light on it.

Just got done taking a test, everyone thinks I’ve done fine but I’m still waiting on the score.
