I could be misremembering this, but I think all the jdate whale memes came from a particularly bizarre review? Can you confirm this and if so did you happen to get a screenshot of it? It’s going to drive me up a wall

THIS WEEK IS FULL OF SPIDERS 2020

Sup fools? Spiders Week 2020 kicks off December 27th! For the new folks, this is just 7 days of themes where we post John Dies At The End stuff. You can check out the tags for the previous 2 Spiders Weeks here and here. There’s no rules - if you wanna participate, just post whatever you’d like relating to the days theme. We’re talking fanart, fic, headcanons, shitposts, whatever, and tag it with #thisweekisfullofspiders2020

Anyway here’s the fun part, the themes:

Dec. 27th: Favorite Secondary Character Day

We’ve done favourite character days in previous events, but now it’s time for your favorite non-main character. No talking about Dave, John, Amy, or (I’m gonna say) Molly here. Which background character do you like the most? Dr. Marconi? Carlos? Korean adult film actress Joy Park? Celebrate them!

Dec. 28th: WTHDIJR Day

There’s been a whole new book since the last Spiders Week! Today is for posts all about What The Hell Did I Just Read and related things (whales included).

Dec. 29th: Creature Day

Today is monster fucking appreciation day! Make something about your favourite monster or creature from the series: shadow people, BATMANTIS???, the Goliath Fucking Bird-Eating Spider - there’s so many horrible things to choose from.

Dec. 30th: Crossover Day

Pretty much what it says on the tin: today is for posts about crossing the JDATE universe over with another universe! What if they all worked for the SCP Foundation, or the Magnus Institute, or a third example? (If you need inspiration I suggest checking out Incorrect JDATE Quotes.)

Dec. 31st: Dave’s Shed Day

This day is all about the weird shit Dave keeps in his shed. Remember the Tickle-Me Elmo that keeps talking about its dick, or the cockroach hand? Yeah, that shit.

Jan. 1st: Power Point Day

You’ve seen the trend online, now it’s time to apply all that JDATE knowledge to it! Make a powerpoint presentation (or half ass some slides in MS Paint, I don’t care) about something from the series that you feel merits deeper discussion. Comedic and/or serious subjects welcome. (PS: if you’re like me and just using a photo editing program to make this, the standard PP slide size is 1280 by 720 pixels.)

Jan. 2nd: Free Day

The last day, as always, is reserved for anything from the other themes that you missed on the day of. Didn’t finish that drawing in time? Someone’s powerpoint gave you a headcanon? Today’s the day to share it, anything goes!
