This campaign was started to raise a little money to cover some last minute debts, but now we’ve collected enough donations that we’re collecting for charity only and we’ve raised over $600 toward our chemotherapy care packs! My mom’s last wish was for me to carry on a charity event that I started last month to put care packs directly in the hands of chemotherapy patients. These packs contain a bunch of chemo essentials, plus organic and all natural treats to brighten someone’s day. If we can reach our $6000 goal, I will be able to deliver at least 10 care packs a week to a local cancer center every week for at least 12 months. Every dollar donated now until the end of this campaign will go directly to patients and caregivers. Thank you all so much for your support, even if it’s just in the form of a reblog. I would love to see my mom’s dream come true.

So some of you may know (but many probably do not) that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in February. This has been such a turbulent time for both of us and we’ve been able to hang on due to our positivity and perseverance, but also because of the countless generous strangers who have supplied my mom’s cancer center with their time, gifts and care packages.

NEW RULES for commissions of any kind

Due to a recent event with a wonderful artist @steviemcface , it has come to my attention that I can no longer trust peoples words or implications. SO! New rules will be in place regarding this issue and to hopefully enlighten others to maybe follow suit to avoid stuff like this in the future.

When you commission me with references, you MUST provide proof of approval for it to be used by the original artist themselves, I do not condone outright copying someone, it just isnt fair. If you cannot provide proof that using said image reference as a GUIDE (not to copy) from the artist themselves, you MUST provide the artists username and/or contact info so I can contact them directly.

Failing to do either, your commission will be declined with no further comments as to why.

As an artist, I can get busy, so I did put trust in commissioners to be honest to save me spending hours trying to proove their words, that trust has been broken, and now regulation checks will be in place to make sure it never happens again.

Even if you provide proof, I will still contact the original artist to make sure, so dont even think about photoshopping a message text from the artists username.

The usual rules are still in place, I will not copy anyones art style, I will not directly copy a pose, I will not to anything to harm another artist, this is why I no longer sell masses of fanart and will not make tons of prints of fanart. Sorry guys, I comply with limits and keep fanart distribution to a minimum, this is why I dont do too much fanart anymore.

So please understand these rules and comply with them, thank you for your time and happy arting!

I just want to say...

Thanks so much for all your support, guys. It means a lot to me and lately I have been feeling a lot like I am deep in the background anymore. My work and my dolls mean a great deal to ke and every single faceup and tattoo I do takes a little piece of my soul with it. It may sound silly but it is what I believe. I have been doing this a long time and I really do enjoy sharing the journey with everyone else but… It may take me a while to trust again. I hear people say things like ‘just don’t let it bother you’, 'their copy won’t be as good anyways so just let it go’, 'if you don’t want people to steal your art then don’t post it’ and my personal favorite which was said by someone I thought was a friend 'I spent a lot of koney on this doll so I am entitled to have it painted any way I wish’…

I just do not think I can handle that level of disrespect. I won’t stay quiet about it. I still stick to my guns and I will confront the person first before I take it elsewhere… But… I will not.sit back and just take it. I will not simply let it go. This mentality has truly damaged the art world and it has opened the doors wide open for people who think stealing art is no big deal. If you see someone stealing art (regardless of what kind of art) or thinking of doing so… Tell the person they are stealing from. Let them handle it. If you do not know how to contact that person then privately let the person you found know that what they are doing (or thinking of doing) is bad and why.

I also tried to correct my autocorrection of TOW(which is the sister company to B&G and not what I meant lol) to TWOD (The World of Dreams). My post was pretty speedily typed through tears so there is a ton of errors, I apologize for that mistake. I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for being an artist of respect and integrity and for fighting to make sure she was not at all copying the faceup that girl tried so hard to get her to. The face you did was amazing and I hope to see you grow and flourish in this field 💙

She blocked me so I feel really much worse about this situation. You see this precious boy here? This is Madrik. This is my boy. This is my grail… The doll that I worked long hours for. The doll I put all of my tears into as I mourned the loss of my step father who was seriously one of the most important people in my life. He is my memorial. Frankie would have loved this boy through and through… The point here is I found someone was throwing this photo around and asking for a faceup artist to do this faceup on their Elf Dia. When confronted she told me she worded it wrong. She means to use him as a reference… Not copy. Here is the thing though. Her exact words were ‘can someone do this faceup on my Dia’ and 'I want this faceup on him’ and 'I am getting this faceup’. I have been frantically trying to find the artist who agreed to do her commission so I can beg them to have some respect and not copy my boy. I spoke to TOW, who she had commissioned before… And I see why she probably did not commission her again. Numerous times she wanted her to copy other faceups. TOW refused and did something inspired by the faceup she last sent. It was a true inspiration. Not a copy at all… And I feel that is why instead of going back to her she reached out to find someone who would copy. This is a disgusting deed. I don’t care if you feel that is too big or strong a word. This is disgusting. It hurts my heart deeply and I am at a big crossroads here because of it. I don’t want to share anymore. I don’t want to post anymore because if this is what this community is coming to I do not want to be a part of it. Artists no longer respecting other artists… It is sickening. People feeling they are entitled to someone elses hard work just because they wanted to share their love of an accomplishment… Their goal. Their journey through art and loss… Fuck that… And if you are the artist she chose and you happen across this and have agreed to steal my hard work? All for money? Have some respect not just for a fellow artist but for your damn self. Art should be shared… But that does not entitle you to steal it.
