(Pandora's Box Open) NOT AGAIN
You just sort of shrugged. You did not accept apologies well and you assumed that this human, person, whatever they were did not either.
"I CAN ACTUALLY SEE PERFECTLY IN THE DARK, MY RACE ONLY FUNCTIONS IN THE DARK BUT THANKS ANYWAY."
Of course it was your fault and your self hating tendencies were not going to let you forget it. Not that you were going to beat yourself up about running into someone. But you were still not going to let others remove the blame from you for things.
You were going to answer the person’s next question when you noticed her stare. You raised an eyebrow, it was kind of creepy and you really didn’t want to make eye contact with her so you did it for a second or two then looked away. Was that a thing where she came from? Making uncomfortable eye contact with people? Thank GOD that wasn’t a thing on Alternia because that was just AWKWARD.
"YEAH THAT BASICALLY SUMS UP THIS BULL SHITTERY."
You shrug in response. Did you mention Pandora already? You forgot.
"UM DISAPPOINTING? WHAT? WERE YOU EXPECTING SOME DUNGEON QUEST HERE OR SOMETHING?"
What was disappointing about this? It was CREEPY. Being pulled to a planet with no idea why and no idea how to get out? CREEPY. Not disappointing. Not boring. Just CREEPY and FRUSTRATING.
She had to laugh a bit.
“Haha, no I wasn’t expecting a Dungeon Quest, though I have to admit that’d be pretty fun, or interesting. Well, it’s disappointing that no one knows anything. You know, it’d be nice to have, like, at least SOMEONE here who could help me- or us- out.”
Only then Iris noticed he was uncomfortable with her direct Gaze. She quickly looked away. It hadn’t been her intention to make this awkward; it was just an old habit she’d picked up from her sister.
Wait- had he said his Race? That proved he certainly wasn’t human, just as she expected. Her interest had been piqued.
“So, we haven’t even introduced ourselves yet! I’m Iris Larkin, Heiress of the Larkin name and Fortunes!”
Iris wanted to hold her Hand out towards him, inviting a Handshake, but she didn’t want him to touch, or even see, the burns and Scars. She really needed some Gloves so she wouldn’t have this problem anymore.
