“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.” - Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath

When Mitski said: “I spent all my teen-age years being obsessed with beauty, and I’m very resentful about it and I’m very angry, I had so much intelligence and energy and drive, and instead of using that to study more, or instead of pursuing something or going out and learning about or changing the world, I directed all that fire inward, and burnt myself up.” I felt that.
“Scared is how you’re feeling; brave is what you’re doing.”

For a site that hates capitalism with a seething passion you’re all very happy to stick up for the meat, hunting and angling industries without a second thought. The industries that profit from killing animals could be stretching the truth or just flat out lying? The industries that use the ‘invasive species’ and ‘overpopulation’ defense as a way to sell hunting and fishing licenses might not be entirely ethical?

Nah, it’s definitely the vegans who are wrong.
