Its things like this that make my heart feel fuzzy, everyone should have the right to have fun as long as they’re not hurting anyone, people can be such dicks I’m glad this guy can dance freely now.

When people get mad at fandoms for porn (SU, MLP, Adventure Time, etc.).
Their arguments start out sensibly, like they say “well its meant for kids but if you sexualize it and post it, kids will go online and see it and it’ll be ruined for them.”
And on the surface that is totally reasonable. We should try to keep the world safe for children. BUT this argument is total bullshit.
First of all, what sensible parent would let their kid go on the web unsupervised without safeguards in place (safesearch, blocked websites, etc.). If you’re kid discovers porn its because you let them on the internet without protection or supervision. That’s on you. Far as I’m concerned, the web is a free space, and it is the job of the parent to protect kids, not the artist.
Second, this shit normally isn’t a problem. Google is a smart search engine, in that it takes your search history and based on that, comes up with results for future searches that you put in. This means that the only way MLP clop is going to come up or that Steven Universe porn is going to come up is if you have history with those things in it. No bad history, no problem (though it is still possible to randomly see it, so its a good idea to have safeguards in place anyway, even if it is extremely unlikely).
At this point, they retreat a little bit, and say “well isn’t it wrong to sexualize something for kids? Shouldn’t this be illegal?”
Why? If its depicting adult characters in ficticious situations and settings, who gives a shit. And these people also seem to forget all the porn of things like DBZ, Yu Gi Oh, Transformers, Avengers, Teen Titans, Lego, Pokemon, Furries, Batman characters, Bioshock, and even the always interesting yet very grotesque genre of dragons fucking cars. Could you argue that dragons are for kids only? I know when I was young me and all my friends were obsessed with dragons and dinosaurs and all that shit, but nobody bats an eye when there is an entire reddit community dedicated to videos of dragons banging the shit out of hotrods and stock cars. Nobody talks about the gif of the hulk violently fucking black widow. Nobody seems to think about the pictures of kaiba pinning yugi to the floor and shoving his tongue down his throat. (Go on, google this shit. Avengers porn, yu gi oh porn, anything, I guarantee you’ll find it.)
And they’ll say “but there is so much more clop!” So? Like I said, you don’t have to see it if you don’t want to, you can protect your kids from it using simple (and often free) tools, and if we subscribe to your morality, just because there’s more of it doesn’t mean its not just as wrong. Hitler more killing than Dahmer did, but I still think both of them deserved to be locked away or given the chair.
And frankly, the show itself is for kids, as are the official websites and official merchandise. The rest of the internet is for whoever it is designated for by the creators of individual websites. Its why I’d never let my future son go on reddit until the right age. If the producers of SU suddenly decided to have an episode showing steven’s conception, and then released figurines and t-shirts depicting that scene then I might have a problem. But they’re not.
Put it this way: Rule 34 is like doughnuts. If you’re relatively healthy and you want a doughnut and you can have it, then have one, obviously. But if you’re allergic to doughnuts its your responsibility not to have one.
It is not the responsibility of Dunkin Donuts to stop selling them.

what white people can do to protect muslims tomorrow: 9/11 edition
if you are from the NYC area, this is what you can do:
If anyone at work starts a discourse about 9/11, tell them you wish the nation would work tangibly (not theoretically) harder to protect the lives of muslims.
If anyone at work starts talking about their fear of “another terrorist attack,” tell them you’re afraid the KKK doesn’t slaughter black people today.
If anyone on the street is harassing a muslim, especially a visibly covered muslim, tell them to fuck off. do not call the police because the police do not try to protect muslims (call 911 if it is life threatening, though). ask the muslim if they are okay.
give up your seat on the MTA World Trade Center bound trains for muslims. it is scary to stand because we don’t know who can hurt us from behind or from the sides.
be so fucking polite, please.

if they are being harassed, provoked, or look like they are in danger – get involved. call 9/11 if it appears life threatening. VIDEO IT.
if they are being ridiculed or treated poorly at work, ask them if they would like a cup of coffee. tea. if they need a ride home.
if cops are harassing muslims, take a picture of their face. take a picture of anything visible regarding their badge number or name.
