this is an independent & selective daenerys targaryen from asoiaf / got. it is heavily s8 canon divergent with book influences. my portrayal focuses on daenerys as queen of the seven kingdoms.
MAIN PORTRAYAL ANALYSIS :
season 8 did not happen on this blog. any in character mentions of the show canon will be ignored completely. if you haven’t read up until this point i’ll be able to tell.
the attack of king’s landing took place at night. daenerys was able to easily catch the golden company off guard and successfully break down the walls to the city only, destroying the scorpions bolted along the top of the ramparts.
she did not unleash dragonfire onto the city itself. absolutely not. the city watch, the scorpions, and each main gate were all burned in an effort to protect the innocents from casualties. however, there cannot be war without death.
euron’s fleet was ambushed first. she did not “forget” about the ships and used her strength in numbers to her advantage, allowing rhaegal (and jon) to lead the initial attack that same night while the enemy was unprepared.
she still has all three of her dragons. at least, until their fates are decided in w.o.w.
she claimed the iron throne and is queen of the seven kingdoms. the remaining lannister soldiers etc. were shown mercy at the expense of bending the knee, and those who refused were arrested and allowed to ponder their decisions.
