Minnie wants me to stay forever! 😄
This week we made a Pro Photo Studio for Kidd. I thought it would be fun to make it a festive holiday themed photo studio and I think it turned out pretty well.
First, I started with outside. I picked a snowy area with lots of snowcapped trees. I wanted the house to have that holiday vibe and chose a brick house with colors that complemented the trees. I hung a festive wreath on the door. For the border path I chose the large pinecone festive trees which work really well with the colors of the house.
Then on the left side I made a photo shoot area with a festive tree, piles of gifts, and a sled. I added the camera and laptop on a table. On the right side, I decided this one would be a photo shoot for couples so added a snowflake display and ornament stand in blue. I added a mini festive tree and a stack of gifts in blue. I put in a wedding bench in dark wood and a wedding table in gold. I put a gold rose heart bouquet on the table and a festive gold candle. I added a camera and laptop table here too. I added blue gift boxes as a holiday fence which made it complete.
Inside, I made the main festive holiday studio. I used arched window wallpaper and the red curtain stage wallpaper as an accent wall. I used the parquet flooring in dark wood because it fit well with all the festive things. I used the festive throw rug and added the festive tree in the center. I used colorful ornament stands for the corners and put in the ornament garland stands on either side of the tree. I added gift piles in front of them. I put the mannequins in as part of the photo shoot display. I then added camera lights and cameras.
I put a reception desk at the front of the room with a file cabinet. I also added a display table with an ornament lamp and a mini tree. Across from that, I put in a waiting area. I added a snowflake throw rug and red Moroccan couches. I added a little mini welcome mat at the door. On the walls, I added posters of some of the villagers like Lolly to show them off as portraits done by Kidd's studio. The photo studio was complete!
Upstairs, I made a stylish apartment for Kidd. I decided the red tearoom wallpaper would be perfect and used the snowy window wallpaper as an accent wall. I used the wood block flooring because it blended well with the both walls. I made a little bathroom for Kidd and then set up the bedroom area with a country quilt bed. I gave Kidd a little dark wood block dresser with a festivale lamp. I used the partition shelving to put in a mini festive tree and festive candle.
For the kitchen, I put in the metal fridge and counters along with the system kitchen in dark wood. I put a festive wreath on the wall. I then added the antique table and chairs with a Yule log in the center. The final area was the living room space. I put in a grandfather clock and added a beige fancy throw rug. I decided the regal couch in gold would be perfect for the apartment. I gave Kidd a regal coffee table in dark wood with a festive candle in the center. I also added an antique side table with a mini pinecone festive tree. The finishing touches were a palm plant and a fancy lamp.
Everything came together quite well and Kidd's Pro Photo Studio was complete. Making it a festive holiday theme was a lot of fun and I love how it all turned out. Happy holidays!
When something surprises me, I pop off in Tagalog. 😄
*Note: I received a free game code for the Nintendo Switch for my honest review of the game. Thank you to Stride PR for the game code
The last review of the year is done and up on the Mothergamer blog. If you like Saturday morning cartoons, you'll like Kokoro Clover season 1!
So every year there is a Christmas parade that rolls through our neighborhood with fire engines sounding the sirens. Jake howls in key with every time. It's cute and hilarious. He's our good boy. 😄
Jake is always so happy to see everyone. He's a happy boy. 😊
Poor robot friend.
Kindness goes a long way. ❤
We found the dog! ❤
Give me back my child! 😄
It's been a rough year and seeing this year's Twitch recap is honestly humbling. All I can say is thank you to everyone in our community for the love and support with the four year anniversary celebration, charity streams, and just hanging out with this night owl old lady every night. You're all wonderful, so thank you.
Wow, Malroth! He went all in on Perry. 😄
I'm not sure I even have the words for how excited I was for God Of War Ragnarok. I couldn't wait to hang out with Kratos and Atreus again.
The latest review is up on the Mothergamer blog. I just finished God of War Ragnarok and you can read the full review there.
Jake is a happy boy and loves to play like this with Ron. 😊
I'm really enjoying all the festive things in Dreamlight Valley. It's been so much fun decorating and discovering all the the things.
This week's design in Animal Crossing was a tiny publishing house for the villager Molly.
I wanted Molly's publishing house to look cute and inviting so chose a cottage style house with a yellow roof. I added a brick path and then made a small stone path to make a parking space for Molly. I put a small mint colored car in the space. I wanted the yard to look nice so I added some floral bushes and pastel benches for a sitting area. On the other side of the yard, I put in a swinging bench with a pine tree and some yellow Cosmos flowers to make a relaxing sitting area.
Inside, I created the publishing house space for Molly. I wanted it to look good, but also reflect Molly's cuteness and personality. I used the office wall as an accent wall on one side and then used the open window wallpaper in white. I used the Paradise Planning wallpaper because the pattern and color complemented the walls quite well. I made Molly her own office with filing cabinets and a fax machine. I decided the office desk in a light beige would look nice and gave her a black office chair. I put in a throw rug in orange and white. I used the partition shelves in dark wood to make it look separate. I added books and magazines on the shelves. I also used a hanging shelf with plants to tie it altogether.
I made a receptionist area with a desk and chair. I added a sofa and a magazine stand with a plant in the corner. I used the office wallpaper for partition walls to make a small meeting room. I added a dark wood table and chairs along with a projection screen. All of this came together beautifully to make a great office space for Molly.
Upstairs, I designed Molly's apartment. I used the yellow rose wallpaper and used the black parquet flooring. I used partition walls to make a bathroom for Molly. I used the pillars in dark wood for the bathroom and to divide the bedroom area. I used the yellow argyle throw rug for her bedroom space. I used the wooden bed with the orange plaid blankets. I put in a wooden dresser and shelves in dark wood. I gave her a wooden bedside table and put in a tree's bounty lamp. I added a sunflowers painting and a black and white photo. Then I used the partition shelves and decorated them with books and a vase of carnations.
I then moved on to creating the kitchen space for Molly. I used the wooden table with the orange plaid tablecloth. I used the system kitchen, put in a silver fridge, and the steel counter. I put in an espresso machine in yellow. I added a small yellow kitchen mat.
The final touch was the living room space. I added the shag rug in a toasty brown. I used the Moroccan couch in yellow and added a Nordic coffee table with a yellow floral runner. I then put in a dark wood display shelf and added a little bonsai tree. I decorated the wall with a rooster tapestry and a castle painting.
Molly's publishing house was complete! Everything looked great and blended together perfectly. She's now ready to get to work in style!
