Dima redesign!

Dima’s design has been floating around for a long time and I think I finally have it down. Poor girl has some major muscle atrophy & bone deformities going on 💔

She’s host to an organism that feeds on her body’s nutrients. If left unmanaged, it eventually feeds on muscles & organs.

Former sketch of CN-2 that just kept getting more layers added to it each time I opened procreate. A little more chaotic than I would’ve liked but I always love rendering gold 😏

Magdala redesign! She’s a beast in both mind and body. One of my oldest characters who actually has a fursuit irl.

She technically has a long mane but I ended up liking her bald (?) version so I’ll throw it on as an alt. later.

Quick side profile sketch for Magdala. Her face is pretty bulky like Härma, just a bit more streamlined.

Getting somewhere with my rendering but I still have a habit of overdetailing 😔 But !! Only 6 rendering layers were used here so I’m calling it a win 😼

VERY rough Rue redesign. For my own sanity I will not be giving her a detailed reference sheet. (I’d prefer to not experience carpal tunnel)

Her body produces chemical compounds that can be emitted through the sail-like crests. Both contain specialized circulation systems that rapidly push out dangerous gaseous compounds. The top crest has a “stopper” that closes/opens the central airway tract.

The gas she emits, while highly dangerous by itself, can be ignited. A gland in her mouth is capable of producing a spark that reacts to the gas. Creating explosions on a very large magnitude. Unfortunately, her face takes a majority of the initial damage. It’s been practically blown off over time. Leaving just enough muscle to not lose her bottom jaw & keep the head attached to the body.

She’s supposed to be a giant anteater but the plot got lost in the depths of hell.

ArtFight dread is upon me so I’m starting to rework a lot of characters beforehand. Härma is a personal fav of mine so ofc he’s first. Working on an extra anatomy reference for him too.

Finally managing to capture his odd build. The top half is so overgrown that bipedalism is rarely used. Though he is capable of it.

Render test using my fursona. Probably going to tone down my shading/lighting layers since I’ve had a bad habit of doing wayy too much recently.

Hand tremors are still making coloring tough 😪 Slowly getting back to it

Mal Fídi redesign (?) I’m not sure what happened here but I like his frill shape. He has a secondary set of eyes in place of hearing. The remaining ear cartilage is attached to his head frill, allowing for some movement.

Trying to get back to drawing consistently. Still kinda rough (there’s a reason I cropped the legs out here 🙃) but I’m getting there. Currently working on a cleaner method of rendering so I’m not spending 6 hrs on lights and shadows 😔
