As it stood, there was nothing in the world Kagami found to be particularly beautiful, but he could still easily make note of a colorless environment and this certainly was one.
Not even the lake was an exception to that, and his reflection rippling in the murky waters only intensified how unattractive it was. It was somewhat pleasant to fit in so perfectly with the environment – drab-colored and unsightly. More appreciation would be found in it, however, if he knew what the creature was that lurked in the water. He could disturb it, perhaps, but if it was of interest, he wanted to be alive to see it. Many creatures were suspect to destroying any insignificant being or object in their way, after all. It would have been marvelous, he thought, if the last creature of that kind were able to destroy what he wished was ruined. Perhaps he could put hope into the possibility that what was underwater could accomplish that. But he was sure he was expecting too much.
Peace disturbed by a presence behind him, Kagami turned his head to wordlessly acknowledge what was near. He wasn’t fond of interacting with others, but if they were here, maybe they were interested in what was below the dark surface as well. If they had something interesting to speak of, he didn’t want to miss the opportunity.
"Ah, company… How nice. Sit with me if ye would like.” He looked over his shoulder, appearing as though he would be disappointed if they refused. "It’s far too quiet here, so tellin’ me what ye’re here for would help…"
❀ —- If she was to live, she had might as well survey her surroundings. After exploring the complex to find every possible nook and cranny it had, she was satisfied and decided that it would be wise to take a look outside. Slowly, she strolls out of the building, wand in her hand, hair and dress flowing as she moved. The Rukh danced around her--albeit invisibly--but it one had strong senses, they'd be able to tell that she was indeed something of a Goddess.
The environment was indeed drab and colorless, the sky was painted an ugly gray and it seemed as if all plant life took on their color as well. It was depressing. She was used to the many colors of Reim, but she digresses. This is her home for now. Upon strolling further into the unknown, she comes to see a lake in the distance, how peculiar. It looks as if it doesn't even belong here.
Slowly, she approaches only to be met with a voice from a person that she hadn't noticed. How unlike her. ❝ Hm...I will stand, if that is fine with you. ❞ she speaks slowly and clearly as she ventures closer to the male. She could sense no hostility, yet.
❝ I suppose I was curious about the lake, are you as well curious about what creature or organisms lie in it's murky depths..perhaps? ❞
