Parker and John both talking to Arthur at once is stressing me out. John keeps hating on the dog and that's very amusing to me why does bro hate being around it so much that he doesn't want to be present

I really liked Parker's monologue. I'm so conflicted about him like I really don't trust him but also they're doing a really good job of making him feel sympathetic.

I really appreciate their banter because it's also a reminder that they were close friends.

Mmmm as much as Parker's reason for not wanting Arthur to tell John is.. not as horrid as I was thinking, but I do NOT like the way he's intentionally making Arthur think about his doubt, once again taking away the trust I've JUST gained in parker. It's clear he wants the best for Arthur, but I don't think he's in any place to decide what's best for Arthur.

The timeline fuckery that faroe existing now has caused is still very interesting, I'm wondering if there's other consequences/effects of that. It didn't change how parker and Arthur met, BUT it also erased the reason. So I guess instead of rewriting the timeline from the begining it was almost like a retcon to the universe. Hmmm

MANNNN John saying that he trusts Arthur and the fact that he probably means it so earnestly, while Arthur is still grappling with it AUGEHHRHRHH sickening. I'm a little worried about potential conflict resulting from this, but also they've come so far. Guh. Especially if Oscar gets involved. I'm really curious to see how that will play out- especially with John since he has a complicated relationship with Oscar, and not knowing about parker.

MALEVOLENT THRESHHOLD 3 woo finally got around to listen to it

It's a bunch of nonsense rambling sorry

First off wrote this down while listening, big fan of the fact that Arthur is communicating kinda about the parker thing that's progress that he's doing that even if he's not ready to actually address it it feels like SUCH a show of how improved Arthur and John have become in their communication and trust cause mann I can imagine it pretty much anywhere in series 1 that resulting in a "it's none of your fucking business" style argument and divorce if it was brought up mann I'm so proud of them...

Arthur being not really scared of the mob like at all is really funny this guy has fought god and one man is nothing in comparison. Also why does he keep comparing people to dogs he really likes this analogy doesn't he

Ouuu and another yellow eyes confirmation I am a sucker for that why has nobody that knew him previously commented on the fact that his eye color has changed to something unnatural!!!! WHAT DOES FAROE THINK?????? Man I love that aspect but the implications of it being so obvious surely this will result in something if they're pointing it out someone's gonna say something and point out that this is weird right..it's gotta be faroe when it happens right ...

Whoof the music/ambience/orchestration idk during the death watching sequence was GOOODDD the music was stressing me out more than the description. Also big fan of the fact that the corpse touching power is relevant this series

Not sure how I feel about parker really not wanting John to know things. Sketchy. I don't trust him one bit. Is it actually parker? Yeah probably. But do I think he's good news? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! He may have decent intentions or something to be helping with Arthur but clearly whatever has happened to him has lead to some sort of corruption.

I can't tell whether John and Parker would get along or not. I suspect that John might get a little jealous maybe? Or hqv some sort of complex about Arthur not needing him if parker is "around again". But also if they could communicate maybe they'd be chill. That is entirely based off of neither of them wanting Arthur to pet the mangy dog.

In part 46, Arthur talks about how as a child, he was jealous of his first best friend because of how his father dotted on him, so he snatched the toy his father made him and burned it

Then Arthur, seconds after praising John’s work, called it cheap because John mentioned that he was struggling with writing music

His action as a child, while cruel, can still be justified and even pitied as a child's envy of another who has everything he wanted, and he was too young with no guidance

But then he grows up, and you see that he's the same envious boy who's willing to hurt others who have things he doesn't. And in John’s case, it's not even something he was granted, it's a hobby and a talent that is very human at its core, and completely inspired by Arthur. And Arthur, jealous, drags him down and throws a cheap shot at his confidence.

While I hate this part of Arthur’s character, I'm also really glad that it's there. Harlan didn't decide that after the events of Malevolent Arthur would become a wise, perfect protagonist. Nope, he's still full of flaws, and while his character developed, it didn't really change. He's still the same man, but at least now he's trying.

He'd tell John he's proud of his work instead of letting their friendship die like he did with William.

I was kinda late to getting to listen but I'm gonna yap about it cause man. Uh spoilers probvaly

Ok the lighter thing. I for sure thought that Arthur was just like. Fidgeting with his lighter and disassociating? Was thinking there was some ptsd or something similar but HOLY MOLY NO. So arthur is being haunted(?) by parker - part of me wonders if it's kayne thing? A final "fuck you" he managed to sneak in? But idk how that would work

It could also maybe be some sort of interference by the Manager? It's clear that he didn't entirely honor what Arthur wanted, given the fact that faroe is around - so maybe he meant to do something similar with Parker but it went wrong? Not sure why it would result in this Only Arthur Can See Him Haunting Style situation. I don't know if they'd get into some genuine timeline shenanigans such as "him being alive fucks up the timeline so bad" so I don't have any other theories currently but OUUU I'm excited to see where this goes.

Also first proper argument of threshold and it DIDNT end in divorce?? They worked it out tenderly? I love them dearly I'm so scared.

Anyways. Might make more reactionary ramble posts when episodes come out - getting my theory brain going....
