Girl tell me about Granulated Sugar

Okay, so it's an original short story that I've been writing for like... three years now? It's basically a reflection of my own life mixed in with an examination of Joseph Campbell's concept of the Hero's Journey. More specifically, the concept that the hero can never go home again.

Long story short, it's a coping mechanism that is driving me insane. It is the final short story that I want to include in my anthology book that I want to get published.
