I bring a sort of "God is like if a lovecraftian eldritch horror loved and understood humanity" vibe to the church potluck that other Christians don't really seem to like for some reason

Evangelicals: Tarot is demonic! Crystals are demonic! Yoga is demonic!

Also evangelicals when there’s a genocide and poc are murdered in the streets: 🤷🏻‍♀️

Actually, let’s touch on this.

Because I have seen some Christian’s go after other faiths, other practices, other cultures. I have seen them demonize things that are actually so good for us and our spiritual evolution.

Growing spiritually is seen as wrong because they don’t want you to grow. They want to keep you ignorant of your true power. Because then they can talk you into anything.

Some of yall are probably BIG mad at me for pointing this out. But I ain’t wrong. While you’re in church condemning others and denouncing everything as demonic, REAL DEMONIC ACTIVITY IS TAKING PLACE in the form of homelessness, hunger, addiction, genocide and racism. When are you gonna speak up against that?

I think I actually get why some Christians close their eyes during worship. Because if they were open, you’d have to see the broken and those that are hurting. You’d have to admit to yourself that the homeless man you turned away at the church door was really Jesus in disguise. Or that there is corruption in your church that is victimizing people.

Don’t get it twisted. Hashtag not all Christians. Duh. If it doesn’t apply let it fly.

But the vocal ones…the fundies, the nationalists, the hate mongers…yall know who you are. And I PROMISE you. You can shout “Jesus is king” till you’re blue in the face. But until you see him in the people rejected by society? Don’t kid yourself. You know Jesus wouldn’t accept the title of king.

So let’s talk about that damn egregore evangelicals worship.

The evangelical egregore is theorized to be a thought form masquerading as the Christian God. It’s hateful, spiteful, jealous, conditional and a bully. It pretends to be Jesus but the second you question it, all that love disappears and you are an agent of its wrath.

Well, kinda. It loves to threaten. But it’s all talk. And talk is cheap. I’ve called out this thing in the past. It threatened to “destroy me” in its “wrath” so I called its bluff. The thing got so angry but couldn’t do anything.

It’s a cowardly spirit. And sure. YHWH is known to be…let’s say difficult. But he is also merciful and has a soft spot for orphans and widows. He despises rich and powerful people. He’s a frustrated idealist. I think that’s why he gets so frustrated and angry. He wants a perfect paradise but humans, man, were just too nuanced.

Anyhow. The egregore can kick rocks lol.

Damn you're right bro, it's not like every physical Manifestation on this planet will eventually die or anything. I'll just tell my Lady Death that she doesn't have to come for any of us anymore lol.

But in all seriousness, Holy Deaths is seen as a powerful mother figure to her children. Jesus was held by his Father when he died on the cross, and Mother Death embraced him as well. There's even a statue of them depicting this. And I find that so beautiful when Mary could only helplessly watch her son die so horrifically. There was still a Mother there to meet him. She does the same for us.

I always say, Jesus defeated Death with a capital D. The separation from God. Or at least, the illusion of it.

Santa Muerte is not that death. She is, to me, the Angel of Death. She leads us to the other side.

Mami also loves Jesus. When she came for him, she wept because of how much she loved him.

Death is a natural part of life. Demonizing it, like many evangelicals do, won’t make it go away.

I don’t understand this idea that Christian folk Magic practitioners are these goody goody harm none people.

Appalachian folk Magic is very Christian. And there are curses. And deadly ones at that. Saint Rita is known to straight up kill abusers. Yeah, there’s healing in it. But there’s a lot of harming as well.

It’s a form of resistance and rebellion. Jesus was a rebel. Why wouldn’t his followers be?
