It’s a ground breaking film, Katya was actually one of the first characters written by a man to show any awareness of the femme fatale trope.
I know Wakanda Forever is a good movie because my grandma has not seen a single Marvel movie in her life. Like she could not name another Avenger for money. and she was STILL sitting next to me in the theater going “mhm” “I know that’s right” “mm. say it.” after every single line about grief like she does not know Namor from Aquaman but she went to CHURCH.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever + letterboxd reviews
Found this pic of key and peele and knew what I had to do
You ever just think about how much Ryan Coogler and the entire cast & crew had on their shoulders with Wakanda Forever?? like it was already the sequel to probably the most influential superhero movie of the decade, then it became a memorial for Chadwick Boseman and the first Marvel movie being led by Black women. Like that’s an insane amount of pressure to be under while grieving. I think about that a lot.

“Fish man!”
Ruth E. Carter’s work cannot be understated, beyond the cinematography, lighting, and VFX; her work is the true bow that holds it all together.
I can feel that Oscar in her hands.
"What can we expect?"
"You can expect a beautiful, jam-packed adventure, that is Black Panther Wakanda Forever; a love letter to Chadwick Bosemen." - Letitia Wright

5 tips to help your writing confidence
Do you feel you’re just not enough as a writer? Whether it’s down to skills or the amount of writing you do, it can be scary.
Here are five tips to ease your mind about it!
The writing routine myth Dismantle the belief that you must write every single day to be considered a good writer (or just a writer even!). Routines are great but they are NOT for everyone. Your writing process should be your own.
The feedback master Learn to master receiving feedback! Got any really good feedback? We tend to quickly dismiss this and focus on all the negatives instead. Make sure you pay special attention to the good words. PRO TIP: Print out your best feedback or reactions from your readers and stick it on the wall in your writing area.
The prolific writer syndrome It’s very difficult for some writers to refer to themselves as writers while only working on one project they haven’t finished yet. If this is the case for you, a neat little trick is to write some flash-fiction. These are really short stories that could fill up your writing folder, and help you gain confidence in executing several different ideas! PRO TIP: Need ideas for shorts? Refer to the top of our profile, where you’ll find this month’s original writing prompts.
The victim of originality Stop stressing about having to blow people away with the originality of your concept. That’s not what readers are even looking for. They’re looking to connect with the characters, to learn something new about themselves, and get emotionally invested in the book they’re reading. None of this requires the invention of a new genre.
The Goodreads stalker Perhaps the best tip I have is overcoming your insecurities over people who might read your book. Have you just finished reading something? Loved it even? Every time you do, go on Goodreads and read those books’ 1-star reviews. Build up that realization that no matter how good your book is, there will always be people who will find a fault in it. And that’s completely fine.
