The teenager in the Wyatt situation is now like 23 and has made it abundantly clear that they don’t want people talking about the situation anymore and that they weren’t groomed, just in a toxic co-dependent friendship— and also that chref got many of the details wrong. They had a blog where they were up front about the whole thing but it’s been deleted (~2 years ago I think). Please be considerate of them when talking about it.

What sucks is that I want to agree with you about the weird and problematic shit Wyatt has done but inter-system relationships are super common with DID and it’s totally normal to conceptualize them as two separate people. This is like, weirdly ableist coming from someone who’s got the moral high ground in this discourse. Like you didn’t have to do all that.
