My interpretation/design for Maria Munkford (John's mom and the soul trapped in Julia)
I kinda have two designs, one more based on the 1940s and another based on the 1960s since while John and Andrew grew up (and when Maria died iirc) in the 1940s, if they're around Gary's age and would be in their 30s in 1998 they would technically have been born or growing up in the 1960s of 1970s?
I like her I hope there's more cameos or mentions of her in the adventures of Julian and Friends series like in the Write World episode
I absolutely love these cards ok so I've seen some of the other cards and the arts on them before either from a message board that only included some of the cards or early promo art(?) BUT some of these ones I've never seen and i find them so cool like Molly at the controls, or Rebecca in a cute formal outfit holding something (explosive? or timer?). Also a clearer view at Wildcat's early design! I haven't been able to find much of those

I love talespin…. I love rebecca and her relationship with molly……. I love rebecca’s writing so much…. single moms in fiction are so underrated too . Aauuuhh
(LOTS of rambling because this series is very interesting to me)
Some things I realized + some thoughts I had about Julian and Friends after reading 98xx stories of the past (and after watching Write World):
Adding the Lonely princess story in one of the game's codes is like Ezra's way of venting or like a cry for help
Julia/Maria has always seemed more self aware overall than the others were which I think is likely because of her having been directly in contact with the cursed relic that cursed John before she died
With the reveal of Jennie being trapped in Mr. Write, it made Gary's picture being in the Emporium in the corrupted code make much more sense and I'm surprised I didn't realize it sooner
^ ALSO to kind of add on Mr. Write (Jennie) and Gerald (Gary) are often together in most promo renders/images
Which leads to my question, even if the characters don't exactly know that they might have known each other before, do they sort of subconsciously feel it?
^ Like Gerald and Mr. Write tend to be closer around each other by instinct? But neither of them really remember much, nor of their (Jennie and Gary's) divorce?
The reveal of both Diana and Marissa being trapped in Darcy was especially interesting because Darcy seemed to be more controlled by Diana and was more obvious in the corrupted codes. But Diana likely took more control because Marissa was so young
^ But I do think an interesting thing to note is that Marissa had an interest in Ballet, which perfectly aligned with Darcy's character
And this was probably already obvious, but im pretty sure John/Andrew trapped the souls very specifically
^ Example: Jason being trapped in the character from the game he criticized and Marissa and Darcy sharing their passion for dancing/ballet as I mentioned before
ok speaking of Jason, as much as Julian is aware that he's in a game was he fully aware of why Jason's picture is in his house or who he is, at least at the start????
This also goes for Gerald using the horror image of Gary to scare Angelica in Egg of Fools, DOES HE KNOW THAT IS HIMSELF.
Ok. Speaking of Gerald again, I honestly am genuinely curious if in that code right before the corrupted code if he at that point knew Jennie was Mr. Write? I think that would be SUPER interesting
^ this is a side thought, in a full scenario where the birthday scene wasn't corrupted how would they interact with each other??
I did find it interesting that the characters seemed to become more and more aware of the souls trapped in them. And they became the most aware after the corrupted code. That could also explain Julia/Maria's absence later on as the most aware, she was trying to find a way to reach us/get our help

i dont think ive literally ever once drawn or talked or posted about him at all but i fucking love don karnage. he is so much fun and is such an asshole it rules. this is another ducktales blast not particularly relevant for it but im glad i finished this one also on the finale-versary i love you ducktales goodnight ducktales
