I’m not normally a huge fan of rhyming in my poems. But this was a purposeful exercise in writing a simplistic, almost child-like poem with a sweet & simple rhyme scheme.
My first book of poetry, American Memorial, is available for purchase now. It’s a collaborative effort fusing poetry and photography to tell a story about the social & political landscape in the United States. Every aspect of this book was entirely self-designed, self-funded, & self-published; any support is extremely appreciated.

Thank you for helping independent art thrive.

During these uncertain and challenging times, the work in this speaks that much louder to me in reflection.
Please support independent art and buy a copy if you are able. My hope is that this book connects with folks during this disconnected-feeling time. This is a solid companion for quarantine, guaranteed.
Copies are on sale for $15.
Thank you.
Sometimes I make visual art.
This is titled “Long Weekend”.

Feels good to be back at the typewriter. New poems to come. For now, here’s the title piece from my book.
An oldie, retyped.
Some amazing shots from the American Memorial reading, discussion, and presentation last Saturday, 12.8.18! Thanks to all those who made it out and supported us. Eternal gratitude to each of you. Your presence was significant.
