I think I'm beginning to get the hang of this "tagging", and what it means to explore the tumblr community and how. It actually works, albeit used a silly gif to test the gif category. I think will keep the twiddling thumbs though in this blog section, afterall already contains test rants and other nonsense, all this may as well serve as a record what some newbie went through for about 2 weeks before getting fairly well oriented around tumbler. Now I'm a pro ;)

Although this gives me an idea, I mean to create some good gifs, later though, enough experimenting for now. Maybe next weekend, life afterall is not just about being goofy, albeit in a harmless way, still, enough of such playful catharsis for now, serious matters await.

Enough DISQUS for today. With few more spare moments to go, will just babble at random. Am getting more acquainted with tumblr, experimenting with the difference between embedding, adding links and hyperlinks, and how to change them later, experimenting with tags. Let's see, what else... (a short pause later) ...perhaps will explain my esoteric DISQUS nickname VerecundAmaranth, at least for now, may delete later. Former relates to an aspect of my personality, latter to a physiological trait, plus a mythological meaning "unfading". Only the "never fading" bit may require further elaboration - in spite of and despite Life, still didn't fade. And speaking of esoteric meanings - "idoneous URL", when signing up for tumblr and requiring to enter my permanent tumblr URL, decided idoneous URL (as in "idoneousurl.tumblr.com") was a suitable URL - for some individuals may take looking up the word in a dictionary to get this minor joke.

Aug5,2011. Still much to learn about DISQUS. This time rather than impetuously jumping into a discussion with a similar story to share which others regarded as nonsequitur, purely at random went to the forums, and noticed more trending discussions in another forum. The forum turns out is a blog of some young couple who seem to be very well matched, but I digress, instead, as I was scrolling through the photos, I couldn't believe the coincidence - apparently the individuals cultivate tomatoes, the fact a photo was included among the many suggests they too enjoy them. Of all the times I could have logged on, and of the handful discussions featured, there's one involving tomatos as a tangent component of a broader discussion - albeit shown as a part of a much greater event instead being the main theme of course. This coincidence is not something important and in fact is very irrelevant compared to something significant, and most people perhaps normally ignore such trivial coincidences if they fixate upon the unimportant illusory glitz the world tends to portray as worthwhile; still, for those who appreciate, for whom life is about the little things which accumulate to something beautiful, instead of the rare big events that are sparse and rarely even outweigh the positive little things, struck me kind of neat to having purely at random stumbled into something which added a smile to my face on this particular Friday..

Just figured where the link from tumblr and then DISQUS took me. Obviously have ways to go before I have a clue exactly how this works, I mean how is it all linked and why only so few are showing when evidently there are so many discussions? But the site was "6 billion secrets" with additional subcategories. So many sad stories, people, some seem like kids and young adults, crying from their hearts distressed and in pain. How does even one have the courage to advise them via encouragement, where would one even try to suggest to endure, when I know what a toll my hell exacted on me, no encouragement helped in my darkest hours when all seemed forever lost, inflicting wounds some of which still haven't healed but evidently every darkness begins to lift eventually. Life is worth living, and sounds so dismissive as advice when told to someone in pain, or even facing death, and even with that I could encourage yet am afraid - "Death is not extinguishing the light, it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come" to recall a relevant quote I always liked. There's always the politics section and religion if I recall somewhere, but more rage and angry exchanges? Like either people hurt badly inside, or attack one another ferociously. The former I fear advising, the latter I try to avoid. Who's left in life, beside solitude?

well today went well. My 1st day. Finally get disqus up and running, I too start running to whichever discussion group, still not sure which, do remember a blue link and my clicking it and presto I was somewhere, but trip up with a nonsequitur comment. Whew, finally got my first embarrassing blunder out of my way. So, ready for the next one.
