i just thought of something and i awoke cause of it xD in undertale, you dont need to hang out with sans to get the true ending. you can pretty much ignore him the entire game except for the scripted events in snowden and the hallway.

ah yes, the sans sans run lmao. see, this is why I can't believe how some people think he's fake friendly and that he only does it to stop the anomaly/his promise to toriel, and not just... some genuine sympathy for once? like he straight up says so in the MTT resort date (though people tend to ignore that in favor of the "you'd be dead where you stand" moment), but you can skip talking to him the ENTIRE TIME and he'll STILL consider us his friend. just silently watching us go through the underground like go! go! go! blorbo from his reports
