Austin band Moving Castles released their new EP, The Want, last week. The four track release is chock full of sweeping, soaring indie rock gems that they say were heavily influenced by Cheap Trick, XTC, Big Star, ELO, and more, with a touch of punk. Of the four, my favorite of the moment is I’m A Fever, a melodic power pop anthem. Title track The Want, below, is a treat, too. It’s more vibrant, spunky, and whimsical. Stream Moving Castles’ full EP, here. All four hooking EP tracks will be on a to-be-announced full length record, due out later this year.
