He is infact wearing a retainer for the teeth that were removed due to the acid ruining his gums and the teeth it got on. He also has a false eye that you'll read about in later chapters [ordered by doctor ofc]

Everything hurts.. I can barely feel my face.. what happened? Ohh.. THOSE MOTHER FU-

Simon's POV:

I didn't know what to expect when the hospital called me, since admittedly, I completely forgot I was an emergency contact. The ride felt like a death trap. Doctors on the line saying he's 'unresponsive' or something.. He better not be dead.. I didn't spend all that time getting ready to take him and his son to camp just for him to die suddenly.

He looks.. It's really bad.. will that even heal..? I can't even bother to try and talk to him while he's like this. It looks like he smashed his face into something hard, dear god.. the doctors coming in and out won't talk. I already texted his son updates. I feel like gagging every time they remove bandages to work again. Why is some of his skin yellow.. it's just gross.. it's disgusting seeing his teeth exposed like that.. granted, we all see his teeth normally.. but open like that..?

I can hear everything, but I can't move. I can't feel my hands or any part of my body, but I can hear it. That gurgling in my throat. I've heard that before, though I can't pinpoint where or when, and that loud beeping.. when will it stop.. it's go bright in here.. I can't escape it, though.. I can't close my eyes anymore.. Everything is blurry, and I just want to go home.. I hear my friend's voice! But.. I can't make out what he's even saying.. is he on the phone? Probably.. he usually takes over stuff even if I don't ask him to, how annoying, but.. nice of him.. Is he weird? Am I weird? I think I'm dying.

How long have I been sitting up in a dark room? I can somewhat see, but not really.. still blurry.. those masks are ingrained in my memory. Why the hell was Ivan even at the school still.. I should have just taken my son home instead of finishing my tests. ACK-

3rd Person POV:

Simon put Murtaugh's glasses on his face the best he could.. obviously, with him now squirming a bit, it wasn't going well. "Just- Hold- Still-" before the old round frames were on. He can see again, and Simon looked exhausted being here.
