The smile and expression she gave him after calming down was warm and radiant, just the right amount of moonlight charm to sooth him and enough sunlight to still maintain her composure. She gladly accepts his hand, her fingers curling over the welcoming chill. They balanced each other out almost perfectly. She was so lucky she had him.
“Where do you want to visit first? I got to pick last time…I think.”
Of the many different areas of the world, Death had only claimed a few as his ‘domains’ so to speak. Areas where life could prosper, but only if it fought for that right. Watching the living struggle and fight for their survival was something he enjoyed, even if that was a bit mean.
Of his domains however, the first he had created would always be his favourite. He would close his eyes, feeling out the direction they had to travel in before taking a few steps, going slow to allow her to walk along side him rather than him pulling her along.
“I don’t suppose you’d object to a stroll through the sands then?”
