Today is october 7th officially marking 365 days, 1 year, of the most well recorded genocide in history; of an occupation of a people which has been ongoing for 76 years. An entire year of constant israeli bombardment. Hundreds of thousands killed and missing. All the while, the people with the most power to stop the genocide continue to support and defend the politicians carrying out the slaughter.

Yet, it is also a year since the Palestinian resistance definitively proved to the world that israel is not only not the all-knowing state entity many believed nor that they were invincible or undefeatable. Over the course of the year, the resistance and its allies in Lebanon and Yemen have handed out defeats to not just israel but the west lead by the united states as well proving that those institutions and militaries are not invincible.

In israel itself, tens of thousands of bsuinesses are closing or have closed; its ports are under blockade; the settlers are fighting amongst themselves or leaving; it is a settler colony beginning to buckle under the simultaneousforces of its internal contradictions and of the Palestinian resistance. No doubt the struggle for liberation and against settler colonialism will continue until all the contradictions are resolved just as it were it rhodesia and south africa.

May we see a free Palestine in our lifetimes.

We are literally further away from a free Palestine today than at any other point in the last 70 years. Since Oct. 7th, Israel has re-occupied Gaza (after having left in 2005), decapitated Hezbollah & wiped out any form of organized resistance from Hamas, and Israel has more settlements in the West Bank today than at any other point in history. Gaza WAS self-governing this time last year. They faced import restrictions from both Israel & Egypt- AKA the blockade, but they ran their own police force, military, & schools. They were self governing. Now they live under Israeli military occupation, just as the West Bank does.

Actually, the West Bank has MORE autonomy through the Palestinian Authority, controlled by Fatah (PNLM), than Gaza does, which again is now under military occupation by the IDF, whereas before it was ran by Hamas- I'm sorry, "The Resistance." Cute euphemism, btw.

And like, talking about Israeli businesses closing while Palestinian businesses are literally being blown up? Not to mention tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed, and millions more have had their lives destroyed. Whatever suffering "The Resistance" has created for Israel has been matched 10,000X over in Gaza- and NONE of it would have happened if it were not for October 7th.

"Resistance" works when you're fighting the United States in Vietnam or Afghanistan- 1,000 miles away from its borders. But when you're fighting a country IN THAT COUNTRY, they're not just going to give up. Especially not Israel, especially not against an enemy like Hamas.
