The Purple Thread
That God, through a human history fraught with murder, deceit, sodomy, illegitimacy, prostitution, savagery, an absence of morals, a rarity of His spirit, and an evil so thick and virulent that it merited global destruction by flooding; that God through all this could weave a lineage of holiness such that, in the midst of it all, a young couple's virginity was preserved to the birthing of purity personified; that God could do this should give us firm assurance that, in the midst of a sex driven culture, of lust, depravity, moral liberty, individualism, artificiality, apathy and aimlessness; in the midst of it all, young men and women will be found who will cherish their virginity, honour the high call of marriage, love and stay true to their spouses, raise healthy families, model integrity and honour, refuse bribes and defeat corruption, who will neither compromise nor conform, who will spend their lives for a worthy cause and die fulfilled and accomplished. Our kingdom is built on such virtues. We will be such a people and we will do such deeds. The kingdom of heaven is not a matter of words but of power!
