Kagiso Rabada steals the show at #CSAawards18

Cricket South Africa (CSA) held their prestigious award ceremony on Saturday evening at the International Convention Centre in Sandton.

Kagiso Rabada was the cynosure of the night as he collected six awards, including Cricket Player of the Year and Players Player of the Year. He becomes the only South African cricketer to win more than five awards.

After his heroic performances on his debut test match in Adelaide, Australia in 2012, Faf immediately struck me as a future great of South Africa. When talk ensued of a search for Kallis' replacement, it was brazenly obvious to me. In fact, I recall asking a few cricket fan friends of mine why no one was saying Faf, and why I was the only one for that cause. Well, it's certainly too early to judge, but Faf Duplessis is my favourite batsman right now. It oscillates between AB and Faf, I must admit, but at this very moment, and on many others in recent times, it's Faf Duplessis!
