They’re marital choices now? I didn’t realise things had moved so far along. Congratulations.
They were always choices, considering I was choosing not to instantly reject the poor girl.

You can take pretty much any of the Gryffindors with your wand arm tied behind your back.
Are you trying to threaten me, Amycus?
It's never profitable to underestimate your rivals.
No, I'm just expressing my discontent.
@ Alecto
So, are you finished with being angry at my marital choices?
I don’t see why you all care so much about blood purity.
Because we care about our culture and the potency of our magic, as anyone else would.
Better to die fighting for what you believe in than sit in the shadows watching others. How will you feel as the beneficiary knowing how little you did to help? [shakes her head] Passionate but not thick Amycus. Openly fighting here will only get me into trouble. On the other hand, pestering you is both entertaining and useful in the long run.
I'll die when I need to die for my cause, not on some Tuesday afternoon because I picked on the wrong Gryffindor.
Oh, charming. Though I'm not sure how useful royally pissing me off will be in the long run.
I must say I strongly disagree with you.
You would, wouldn't you halfblood?
'My own people.' I'm guessing you mean purebloods.
Who else is there to mean? The rest are aliens and poisons in our society.
Oh really? Like what?
My own people. I thought that much was obvious.
I take that as a no, then. I honestly don’t see the need for you, or anyone, really, to call muggleborns ‘mudbloods.’
It's a waste of syllables. I have much more worthy things to use them on.
Has anyone seen my book?
Amycus, are you afraid of muggle contraptions? She teased, trying to lighten the mood back up to a normal level. I do not know much about them myself, but I’m sure they can’t be that bad, I’ve seen some do pretty amazing things that we can’t even do.
I'm afraid of being killed or injured by them.
That may be true but they're still not safe for us.
It appears Corvus took a dislike to someone today
They ended up with their arm crushed, though, he could have done much worse.
Maybe it should be put down.
I’m sure there’s quite a bit I can do. I can report you to a professor, or give you detention but I don’t really want to. So, please, I’m kindly asking for you to stop calling them that.
That really isn't very threatening, you might have to work a bit harder than that.
Has anyone seen my book?
What’s so wrong with having dreams? You can’t tell me that you’ve never dreamed of something better, can you? Why, just earlier, you were wishing to be of a lesser pureblood family name. It is dangerous though, I’ll give you that. But it’s only dangerous for them because of us.
It's dangerous for everyone because of us. I've got no problem with dreaming when your dream is achievable, but it isn't. If you live in a house of magic, you can't use a muggle contraption. It won't work. People are dreaming of a world they can't live in. They've got to sacrifice what makes us us to for something infinitely inferior, something that's pretending to be what we've got. And what happens if you do try to make their things work with ours? What happens when one of their contraptions explodes and kills or maims one of your children because you tried to get it to work around magic. It's not worth it.
Yes, actually, I do.
Well, there's very little you can do about it, halfblood.
It’s a bit chilly, yes. Calling the muggleborns ‘mudbloods’, I see.
Have you got a problem with that, Lupin?
Hmm..
It’s quite nice outside, doesn’t anyone else think so?
I suppose it's pleasant. A little too chilly and just a few too many mudbloods for my liking.
Its a good thing to know that you are sane.
Well, it's what you should expect of a son of the Sacred Twenty Eight. One shouldn't take their status too lightly - though it seems in fashion at the moment.
