“I still don’t want to risk it,” sighs softly.
“We don’t and a whole lot of other girls like me could die, Dad,” said Avery frankly, softly.
“I’m still going. That is out of question. I just don’t want you to go,” Arthur sighed yet again, fearing he could lose her.
“I really think we gotta do this together Dad - before more girls get hurt. Maybe even die. We gotta help ‘em,” said Avery with quiet urgency in her voice.
Arthur rubbed a hand over his face in frustration, “Fine.”
Avery smirked just a little. “We’ll get ‘em, Dad.”
“I’ve got no doubt in that,“ Arthur nodded in agreement yet he was still unsure about this.
