I did this piece a little while ago and I suppose I’m done with it now because I’ve lost the urge to alter/add anything.  Originally I painted the colors and shapes that I see when I close my eyes during very bad migraine headaches.  After living with that image for a while, I started to form shapes from it and arrived here.

Made this for my wife's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/creature_from_the_sewing_room/ She has set aside her usual projects to work on masks for medical workers. Based on the 1943 J. Howard Miller poster "We Can Do It!" which is more commonly referred to as "Rosie The Riveter," a nickname the piece gained in the decades after it's creation.
