"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die." The greatest and most deeply profound monologue in film history. In such few words, written by Rutger Hauer, it conveys what it means to be human. It's not about how long your life is but what you do with it and what mark you leave behind. Thank You Rutger Hauer 💖 https://www.instagram.com/p/CgZ773XsoaeqfKN8GyR91EyAykOHTfY6agQqfs0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I don't usually share raw photos of Marilyn looking so deep in depression, but this is an exception as it's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek ❤ #EndTheStigma When she sat for Richard Avedon in 1957, it was a meeting of two creative powerhouses who would each become iconic in their respective fields. Avedon was working as a staff photographer for Harper’s Bazaar, and she had just successfully out-maneuvered 20th Century Fox in a contract victory that gave her more direction over her projects. The portrait from their session together become one of her highest-valued images because of the emotional truth it seemed to reveal. “For hours she danced and sang and flirted and did this thing that’s—she did Marilyn Monroe,” Avedon once recalled of the shoot. “And then there was the inevitable drop. And when the night was over and the white wine was over and the dancing was over, she sat in the corner like a child, with everything gone. I saw her sitting quietly without expression on her face, and I walked towards her but I wouldn’t photograph her without her knowledge of it. And as I came with the camera, I saw that she was not saying no.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CdknuBAMFy_iNKfpNNUqB4hHOGijydjmkS5GXI0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
