jessamata:
in a house full of people she didn’t know, it felt like jessa was constantly intruding on others. she tried her best to keep to herself, and stay out of the way, but she was afraid. the mansion undoubtedly had an eeriness to it, one that sent shivers down her spine each time she was alone - so she was constantly seeking out companionship in anyone who’d allow her to. currently, that was with a girl who was singing, quite beautifully so. but she noticed the slight change in demeanor once her voice cracked. “are you okay?” was the first thing to come from her mouth - a stupid question, really, given that she, herself, wasn’t okay either. “i’m sorry, i… how long have you been here?” she asked, unsure how to help make the situation better.
marisole glanced over at the other and bowed her head. “ yes i’m okay, i just --- miss my family. ” a lot. she wondered if they missed her, too. or if time was frozen in the real world. so many questions left unanswered. “ 2 months. ” said marisole. “ i’ve been here for 2 months. it’ll be 3 sometime next week. ” sigh. “ how about you? how long have you been in here? ”
