Maxi skirt

This was a skirt I started way back in February and finished in a few months with on and off work. I had finished it off with a stylized bottom out of fear of running out of yarn, but was dissatisfied with it. So I went back just today with the last little bit of the yarn I had left to make it all uniform, and a tad bit longer. Then I used the last string of it to make a tie for the waist so it's less likely to fall. I spent probably an extra hour and a half or so to do all of that. Very happy with it now and looking forward to wearing it.

Here's the tutorial video I used to get it started! It's a very simple and repetitive project, easy to catch on to once you start, and nice and flexible in materials and stitches used.

Bear/dog mini tapestry

I used a mystery pattern by creatingnaomi on Instagram today, it was my first time doing a tapestry of any kind. Very rough, and I didn't enjoy doing it too much, but worth it I think.

Wip: Shuttle the Shongololo

Another wip, I saw this pattern (which I'll link at the bottom of this post) and immediately got to work on it. Hopefully I'll be able to balance it with the little blanket I'm still working on, as I'm very excited to be working on shuttle.

Although it seems like I haven't done much for 8 hours, the pictures don't represent the true size or color of this lovely bug. The main body (3rd picture) covers my thigh in width, and goes down to the bottom of my knee in length, and, as always, the colors are much more pleasant in person (the green is less harsh and the second color of the main body is more pink/peachy as well as the little spots in it being less neon). I'm excited as well because my mom is going to be making one as well, as soon as she's finished a few other projects she's working on. So we'll have twin shongololos, haha

I downloaded the pattern from this website! I've found it to be pretty straightforward and very helpful with it's specifications. There's other free patterns, as well as paid ones, all very cute!

Wip: small blanket

No est time

I wanted to share this mostly for the yarn. It's a very nice, soft kind, which makes it perfect for a warm blanket, but difficult to use in general. I've had to restart it a few times already, and I'm still having trouble keeping it a consistent width. I plan to restart it one last time to make it a bit wider, and hopefully keep it consistent. What I have right now is nearly a skein of the yarn I'm using, and I have three, so I think it will make a nice lap blanket. I think it will be useful (and hopefully finished in time) for a trip I'm taking sometime soon.

Materials I'm currently using:

Bernat Pipsqueak in pink (no specified color from what I could tell)

7.0 mm hook

And thank you to my partner's family member that had extra yarn and let us pick some out 😁

Turnip coin purse/bag

The first project I'm putting on this blog, as well as an introduction post.

I'm Mr. Man, and I crochet. I'm going to use this blog as a way to show off any projects I make. I'm nervous to begin this, and may not be consistent, but I'll try to post what I can. I made this little bag for my partner, with yarn I found around the house. I restarted it a couple of times to get the size correct, and I accidentally increased at the end of most of the rows, causing that trapezoidal look of it. I think it works quite well in spite of it being a mess up. My partner is also wanting to add some leaves to the top to make it more turnip-y, so I suppose I'll post an update picture of it if we can figure it out.

An unlabeled light purple yarn (possibly I Love This Yarn?)

Although I'm not a beginner (I like to think myself intermediate), her tutorial is very helpful, especially for people just beginning to crochet.
