TREND X STYLE: Who are you in the fashion world?

 A few years back I worked with some designers where I learned about trends, where to find them ahead, as for collection development, the kind of information intended to feed the industry. And that's when I learned there is no such a thing  as "trend". And following trends is just tacky! Fashion trends change every season, they are made to make us waste our money on things we don't need but must be sold to keep the economy going, feeds the unsustainable world consumption, producing more trash, Things that quickly will be totally out of style just hanging in your closet. In the other hand, the development of your own style is something that you can always bet. The reflection of your self is the best "trend" for your closet. Invest in pieces that you like and flatter your body, Buy quality products you can have in your closet forever, instead of the trendy fast fashion where everybody looks the same. It doesn't mean you can not love one specific trend... Of course you can! Just don't go with the flow and change your style every time a new trend comes in, cause then you become  just a tasteless product of the market.

The look I am wearing is something I love; teal green and white are probably my favorite colors, to dress and to decorate the house; as I'm shorter than I wished flare pants have always been in my closet it adds a few centimeters to your height, of course with the help of high heels. Always with some accessories and make-up. This is who I am, no matter what trend comes in.  I hope help you to understand which is the style you like and help you to improve it by showing you some tricks that will flatter your body, colors that suits you skin, and accessories that will make a whole difference to the look. Like Mother, Like Daughter: Rocking on BOHO-CHIC style!

When I was a little girl I used to look at my mom`s closet and say: "When I grow up I will dress just like you". I'm not sure if my mom and I carry the same style now, but my little girl surely can carry the same as me.  With the evolution of fashion, kids are no longer limited to "child clothes" as they can play along with mom and daddy fashion.  For me, it makes much easier when I have to dress my little girl, I don't ask my self: whats the weather like? what the occasion requires her to wear? Will she be comfortable in this clothes? I already know if I am wearing it.  ​ On top of that..., which mom doesn't like to dress her little princess like her. It's fun for all. The little girls also enjoy it as you can see it in my daughter's face.

Ponchos have been used by native american peoples and are considered to be typical south american garments. For winter 2015 the so-trendy festival fashion have brought back some native Americans, bohemians, and gypsies items, including the Poncho. ​   Ponchos are a very stylish piece that should be present in all fashion lovers closets. This gray crochet poncho we are wearing is hand-made by our lovely grandma. 

These cover-ups are ideal replacement for classic coat and jacket. Is the perfect piece to glam up your look to a boho-chic style. It is great for transitioning seasons as it is light but it keeps you warm, always necessary to have a layer under, or two for the coldest days. It can really be worn in any occasion that not requires a formal dressing, it loads tons of style to any basic look. And style never goes out of fashion! ​

Like Mother like daughter: Animal Print and Fur

When I was pregnant I was hopping for a boy, I had no idea how fun it is to be a mother of a little girl.

Giving birth to your best friend is something very special. And I don't mean to say we don't have our struggles ... well, she is a girl, competitive as they are, picky as she can be, and the strongest caracter I have ever seen on a 18 months old baby.  

 However, when we are together I feel complete, I'm definitely stronger, and capable of so much more. She pushes me to be a better me and to do everything the best way possible. And hopefully make this world a little better.

 For this photoshoot we once again team up for a mother and daughter look. Combining our animal prints, fur and leather, on all natural tones.

This winter furs are all over the place. I have seen in any imaginable color, in all sorts of cuts, some very nice, others not so much. Although leather and animals print come back every winter, and are no longer a trend but simply part of winter dress code.

One very important detail for Hanoi winter, is to have an outfit that can adapt to cold and hot weather as the temperatures have been oscillating so much.

A side of being in style and striking us with her looks, she cracks me up with her faces, poses and makeup retouches. She is clearly a natural. Always a pleasure to shoot side by side with my super star!
