Birds Eye View of the Creek, Mattituck, L. I. It wouldn’t do for me to send more cards to anyone than I did to you. And I wanted this view as I have been right down on this dock. I have written a letter to De this morning and cards to Edith & Walter. Keep up courage through this hot. Expect to see you very soon. All my love Ethel.

The Village Blacksmith (2). Week in, week out, from morn till night, You can hear his bellows blow; You can hear him swing his heavy sledge, With measured beat and slow, Like a sexton ringing the village bell, When the evening sun is low.

News
I’ve moved and subsequently do not have access to a scanner anymore. Do not worry! I am going to take pictures of the postcards now with my phone which provides close to the same quality as the scanner, but the lighting will be fairly inconsistent. The up side is that the color in the pictures will now be much closer to what the postcards really look like instead of the bright overexposure the scanner provided. You win some, you lose some.
Please enjoy TWO posts today, & hopefully from here on out I will be back to my regular Saturday noontime schedule. Thank you for following! :)
