“Please.” You groan while burying your face deeper into Toji’s, “It’s too early for this.”
Toji shifts, and you know you won’t be going back to sleep soon. Sigh in disappointment at not having Toji’s massive arms around you, you sit up in bed, squinting your eyes at where the bedroom door is located.
There stands your daughter. Lips trembling, eyes wide with unshed tears, and terror coloring her face.
Resisting the urge to cover your face with your hand and scream into the void, you pat the empty spot between you and Toji while your husband has his arms open wide. Your daughter’s pudgy feet scurry across the carpeted floor and jumps into her dad’s arms.
“What’s wrong, pet?” Toji grumbles, voice still thick with sleep.
You run your fingers through her hair, trying to fix the bird’s nest on her head.
“I had a nightmare.” She snifts, “Can I sleep with you?”
She’s staring at you both, eyes begging for refuge.
Neither of you turn your sweet daughter down so you tuck her between you. Toji’s arm draped across yours and your daughter’s forms.
“I love you.” Your sweet little daughter beams.
“We love you too, pet.” Toji mumbles, half asleep.
“We love you so much, angel.”
Kento
“Kids! Kento! I’m home!” You call out while toeing off your heels at the genkan.
As promised, the living-room and kitchen are clean. The dishes are washed and the lights are dimmed.
You spent your night with your best friends for a much needed girls night out. Kento, being the wonderful husband and father that he is, watched over the kids.
Hanging your coat, you climb the steps, glimpses of your family portraits in your peripheral vision. You check the first bedroom on the right, your eldest son but he wasn’t there.
Opening the door on the left, your middle child’s bedroom, your daughter wasn’t there either.
Okay. Don’t panic. Maybe they’re with your youngest. Which is odd because there’s no way Kento would let your kids stay up past their bed time.
Opening the second door to the left, you are greeted by the most wholesome sight you’ve ever seen.
Kento is in the middle of the much too small bed. Surrounding him are your three adorable children. In Kento’s lap is your youngest son’s favorite book, Mickey Mouse’s Three Musketeers.
Silently, you step into the room. Close to the bed, you pull out your phone from your purse and snap a couple of pictures, choosing the best one as your lockscreen.
Not wanting to disturb their slumber, you decided to leave them as is. But not without pulling the blanket up further and softly pecking their foreheads.
You then gently pull down Kento’s reading glasses and remove it. Tenderly, you brush Kento’s hair to the side and place a delicate kiss on his forehead.
“Good night. Sweet dreams.”
Sukuna
“Oh…My…God.”
“Not another word.” Sukuna grumbles.
You stifle your laugh, albeit poorly, “I won’t.” but you can’t contain the giddy excitement bubbling within you, your laughter echoing like wind chimes in the air.
Your twin daughters had the brilliant idea to give their daddy a make-over.
His pink hair is pulled into tiny twin pigtails that honestly look like a baby goat’s horns.
Sukuna’s cheeks are covered in a plethora of stickers; butterflies, stars, flowers and hearts. Diamond blue glitter dusts his eyelids while an apple red lipstick is drawn across his lips and around his mouth.
“Doesn’t he look pretty, mommy?” Your eldest twin asks with a hint of pride in her voice.
Coughing through the giggles, “He sure does, baby.”
Sukuna glares at you.
“I did daddy’s nails!” Your youngest twin eagerly says.
There’s a moment of silence before a big, booming laugh explodes through the room.
Sukuna’s anger didn’t last long and he’s soon chuckling along at the ridiculousness of it all.
“Who’s prettier: Mommy or daddy?” He asks, smirking at the (playful) scandalized look you give him.
“Daddy, you can’t ask that!” Your eldest twin whines.
“Yeah!” The youngest agrees. “You’re both pretty!”
Sukuna flips his nonexistent long hair, “Obviously it’s me. They just don’t want to hurt your feelings.”
“Please.” You roll your eyes. “They don’t want to hurt your feelings since you look so ridiculous.”
“Mommy!”
“Daddy!”
Your girls whine.
“Okay, okay. Fine. We’re both pretty.” Sukuna relents as he picks up his daughters. He then mouths to you, I’m prettier.
You let him have it since it isn’t often that Sukuna spends time with her daughters due to his demanding job as a fire fighter.
“How about we go out for ice cream?” You tell your husband and kids. Your daughters scream in excitement, jumping from their dad’s arms.
“Go get ready.” You ruffle their pink hair. “And you.” You turn to your husband, “Let’s get you cleaned up.”

You don’t have to worry about dressing up nor perfecting your make-up. An oversized shirt with a slim pair of pants and you’re good to go.
Sanemi, too, doesn’t have to wear fancy clothes at a high end restaurant where he looks extremely uncomfortable.
Those types of dates are fun but you both agree that they should only be for special occasions.
The arcade is big; two stories high with games of all shapes and sizes. The basement houses the cafeteria and the ticket exchange section.
Hearing Sanemi laugh while trying to beat you in a game of shooting is your favorite thing in the world. He’s so carefree and happy that you want to spend every night at the arcade just to see him smile.
Uzui
Buckle up, cause date night is karaoke night.
It’s a tradition as old as your marriage.
Tengen preps his throat days in advance, drinking warm water with lemon.
Karaoke is taken quite seriously in your household, which is why your kids don’t tag along.
You and Tengen even have a score book to keep track of every singing competition you’ve won during karaoke night.
Sometimes your friends Kyojurou and Mitsuri tag along to judge your competition but they’re both biased so your nights always end in a tie.
Giyuu
Giyuu’s ideal date night is something simple, something that helps him unwind.
Painting workshops are his favorite.
It helps clear his mind, there are beautiful sceneries to enjoy, and it’s quiet.
Painting isn’t really your thing but you like seeing Giyuu relaxing. That concentrated look he has enhances his beauty. So much so that you ditch the instructions the host has instructed every participant to follow and you end up drawing Giyuu instead.
Giyuu’s little bashful smile and that adorable little blush on his ears are worth it.
Rengoku
Kyojuro’s never ending appetite is well known across Japan.
That’s why food is involved in your date night.
Tonight, he’s taking you to a street festival.
You hesitated at first since you couldn’t eat a lot of the food there. But once Kyojuro has reassured you that he looked up the festival in advance and found a lot of stalls you can eat from, you’re excited to go!
Kyojuro brings his infamous pocket book with him. He’s writing the name of every stall you stop at. He also writes down his impression of whatever he ate and the rating. If he likes the stall enough, he’s writing their instagram account in bold writing.
Obanai
Date night is slasher movie night at the Iguro household.
An assortment of snacks decorate the coffee table. A large, extra cheesy pizza is on the centre while rows of canned fizzy drinks are on the right side.
Slasher movies don’t really scare either of you.
Instead, they make you laugh at the poor acting. Neither of you stop criticizing the terrible script the writer came up with and don’t get me started on how you both keep pointing out movie errors and plotholes.
It isn’t perfect but it’s something you both cherish.
Gyomei
Game night is every Friday night.
You, Gyomei, and the kids play all sorts of disability friendly games.
Tonight, you’re playing braille uno, a card deck your eldest daughter found online.
You and your kids are quite competitive when it comes to games. And while Gyomei insists that he isn’t competitive and that these games shouldn’t be taken so seriously, he’s the one winning all the games.
When your kids cry, “Cheater, cheater!”
All Gyomei does is shrug and say, “I’m not a cheater. I’m just a wise old man.”
Your children just roll their eyes at him while you guffaw in the background.
